Selfless

Scott’s eyebrows scrunched in confusion as he tried to remember.  He would’ve happily given Malia an answer to her question but there were so many gaps in his memory from what had just transpired he couldn’t put a genuine sentence together.   “I.... Something with a wolf....  Not one of ours.”

Scott caught himself before his legs completely fell out from under him.  “I’m fine,” he said through gritted teeth and waved his hand.   “I’ve dealt with worse - you know that.”

“What are you talking about?   You’re talking like I’m suppose to understand what you just said.”

“You can’t come at me with that when you don’t have a better idea either.”
