I do love Aabria describing Thaisha's instinctive urge to be defensive of Occtis as her friend and her own judgment as sound and annoyance at the druids not knowing the circumstances but assuming about things. And the "Walk it back, you were only around Einfasen for twenty minutes, you don't have to start at ten, you have a level orange USE YOUR ORANGE".

It's both funny and a v realistic response to an accusation like that, and a good coping mechanism. You can take five seconds and start calm. By all means, go to ten if you need to, but use your orange.

One thing that's really stuck in my head from ep 5 is Bolaire looking Occtis in the eye and calling him "young man" when practically everyone else in the scene is referring to him as "kid" or "boy".

#cr spoilers #idk why that in particular is resonating #and i don't think (most of them) mean it in a demeaning or malicious sense #bc occtis is young!#alex said in his fireside chat he's 20 #so that weird in-between where people are starting to have adult expectations of you #but still working on *treating* you like an adult rather than a child #and occtis is so... skittish and unassertive (thesis exhange nonwithstanding xD) it emphasizes his youth #so i dunno #bolaire FASCINATES me as a character #and that little exchange will be living in my head until the next episode i think
