HEYA, BREATHERS!

So, the world’s been pretty sucky lately. We’re sure you’ve noticed our absence, and we’re here to tell you that no - we’re not dead! We are all still incredibly passionate and excited about this project, and nothing’s gonna stop us from finishing up our first season.

We just have to ask that you bare with us a little. We’re a small team with only two artists - and making ten minute episodes can be a monumental task. In addition, most of us are working with some kind of mental illness, and recent lock down measures have not been entirely kind to us.

So. Small team, why not expand it? Well - that’s the plan!

A long time ago, Mod Vince answered an ask about people drawing our characters with their personal race headcanons and said this:

All our characters are drawn white because our voice actors are white, and we didn’t feel comfortable portraying characters outside of our race. If this were a real show and not fanmade, ideally we’d have a diverse cast of voice actors.

Now that we’re comfortable expanding our team, we have the chance to diversify our show in the way it was originally intended. We already have our LGBT rep nailed down, but we’re also aware that our cast is overly white, and we’d like to fix that.

Miss Argentina - open to any latine person (who can do an accent to make Leslie Kritzer proud)!

WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: WE ARE A FAN PROJECT. This is not paid work; we are a group of fans working on this because we’re passionate about Beetlejuice, and because this isn’t the most professional project ever, we don’t have the funds to pay anyone for their work. We understand if this is a deal breaker, and the last thing we want to do is to make anyone work for free when they are unable to do so.

We haven’t gotten other complaints! I hope it improves soon.

So how about that quarantine, huh? This year has been busy, and I'm not super happy with how late this episode is. Unfortunately, uni stuff took precedent, and then quarantine and drastic schedule changes got in the way of other stuff. Hopefully it was worth the way! We have full colour! Half a theme! CIVIL SERVANTS! This is one of my favourite episodes so far!
