This collection has started from the tiara but then I thought it would be great to make a whole Barbie inspired set! Barbie and Swan Lake was my first Barbie movie; my mom and grandparents gifted me three VHS tapes with Barbie movies and Swan Lake was one of them. I rewatched it sooo many times that I could recite the whole script by heart when I was little. This collection is very personal to me and I tried my best to recreate Odette's look from the movie. Current Household: Bardot

Decided to have a go at the Nightmare Legacy Challenge since I've been watching lilsimsie's let's play on it for awhile now. I took out my mods (since I had surgery, I haven't been able to update my folder) so my game is completely vanilla & with only the dlc's installed. I've been having a lot of fun with it & I've been able to play out a really funny story that's far from finished. Here are a few screenies of my founder & her heirs. Sorry for the photo dump instead of a curated storyline. I really wanted to share asap but got carried away with the drama & was actually letting my mom follow along:)

Tbh as nuanced of an issue as early access is I think maybe the biggest disservice it’s done the cc community is that if creators are making more for profit than inspiration they pretty much have quotas they have to fill with whatever boring/repetitive stuff that they know they can churn out quickly and that people have already proven they’re willing to pay for. So imo early access really is to blame for the cc community being so oversaturated with so many versions of the same boring hairs/clothes/etc.

THIS PART AGAIN. when people used to release huge sets, it was on their terms and when they were inspired to. now we have the cc factory/early access model, you’re gonna end up like summer of 2020 when we got 10 90s sets and last year when we had 40+ edits of that one middle part wavy hair. you guys are creating to fill a month, fine but those of us who have been here prior to all this have absolutely noticed the decline.

I hate to add onto this, bc I truly shouldn’t feel I have to, but it’s wild how enormous The Sims 4 cc community is compared to others, how much more active it is, and how quickly it grew over the years, and I’m still out here rotating the same 7 hairstyles between all my sims, and my poor sim child is fighting for his life getting ( 1 ) pair of pants and one ( 1 ) pair of shorts to work for all of his clothing categories.

This is so reminiscent of when an influx of The Sims 3 hair creators switched to The Sims 4, and hopped onto TSR, and began releasing hair at a higher frequency, yes, but so many of them were nearly identical, had been done a billion times ( fucking Ariana Grande ponytails haunting my damn dreams 😭 ) or were just Mister Potato Head looking mash ups of their older hairs, with “ooo… bangs this time”, and then y’all wonder why we don’t wanna pay Netflix style subs, or be inundated with ads that slow down our computers, or get viruses for this shit ???

Cc shopping is getting boring now because there is barely anything new or innovative. Sorry but it’s only exciting when maxis releases new cas items in a pack or kit because then cc creators will use a new basis for their cc. Other than that 😕 there’s not much to look forward to.

please, i’m begging you, turn to the japanese maxis match hair creators. some of them have tumblr but mostly they’re found on twitter. and their hair is hella unique, it looks nothing like the rest of the ~big simblr~ haircuts where everything is the exact same, and it definitely fills a niche.

Long time no talk friends...

Hi everyone, sorry that I was MIA ( & will for a bit be lurking) & haven't posted any gameplay or screenshots. Sadly I just suffered the biggest loss of my life & have been really busy getting things settled & put together before I have to start job-searching to help my family. I don't know when I'll feel okay or anything really but what I do know is how much I enjoyed this community before my life got completely turned upside down in a single month. I love you all & hope to share more about my self & the sims I create when I feel ready again.
