Gabriel himself allowed a smile as he shook her hand before allowing his slender digits to retreat like silk through a weak grasp.

"I will call upon you at times that are at my discretion, you will respond. You will come. However, in this very moment, I will give you your first task. You are to observe this individual."

As the words left his lips, Sasha would have a strong mental image appear before her, that of a young child with sandy coloured hair and large, almond shaped eyes.

"You will take action to prevent any harm from coming to them. If you fail, I will know, and there will be consequences. Your mind will guide you to their location at all times. This is a temporary assignment, you will be contacted upon completion."

“ If I would believe a creature like you? Why, I wouldn't know what to think, but I'd still take your word of course if it was found out to be true. I've forgotten who or what you are. ”

“ Hopefully, you aren't fibbing. ”

He replied, a slow nod.

"You will be restored, wholly and fully. The power I possess is far beyond what it seems. So. Will you take my offer?"

Placing the seashell in his other hand, he then returned his outstretched position, awaiting the handshake that would seal Sasha's fate, for better or for worse.

“ If I would believe a creature like you? Why, I wouldn't know what to think, but I'd still take your word of course if it was found out to be true. I've forgotten who or what you are. ”

“ Hopefully, you aren't fibbing. ”

But for Gabriel, that is all he needs. A promise that can never truly be fulfilled, a kind word, those are the first steps to a loyal follower.

"You wish to go home? Perhaps your situation is not as dire as you think. You may know my name, little bird, but you do not know my nature, or the extent of my power. I can bring you home, back into the fold, so to say. Would you like that? Your dreams will not be in vain."

A smile that is saccharine, an effort to bring a gentleness to his eyes, and, finally, an outstretched hand.

"Follow me, and I will bring you home, you need only trust me. Do you trust me?"

The woman looked at his now outstretched hand and nervously moved her hand to take it, but when it was almost there; she quickly retracted it back, now resting at her side.

Sasha pulled out a small seashell, that she had collected in her earlier days and placed it in the figure's hand, curling up his fingers to cover it.

“ I want to trust you, but I need to ask you one last

She looked up with a genuine smile, rows of sharpened teeth exposed.

"Ask your question, Sasha. I will surely answer."

He replied, bringing his hand back slowly to unfurl and inspect the seashell, though his gaze quickly returned to the person before him, his expression untraceable.

A small increase in his smile.

"My plans will unfold in due time, they must not be rushed, you little ones have such timid minds. I would hate to cause pandemonium. Yet."
