Charlotte sighed, looking out the window of her father's police car. Beverly Hills was playing on the radio while her father, Charlie, drove down to the airport in Seattle.
"Dad, can't she just go with them," she had huffed, looking at her father who was content with their new beginnings.
"C'mon Char, she's your sister, you can't just be rude." Charlie had murmured.
The rest of the three and a half hour ride was silent, only forty five minutes from the airport Isabella was landing in.
Charlotte stood off to the side while Charlie embraced Isabella. The girl couldn't help but roll her eyes as her estranged sister awkwardly waved at her.
The youngest Swan sat in the back, leaving the front seat to the newest member of the household.
While Isabella and Charlie caught up in the front, Charlotte pulled out the ipod that her godmother gifted her earlier in the year. She put her headphones in, sighing as she awaited to get home so she could hang out with her best friend.
"Dad can you drop me off at Dr. Cullen's? Rosalie and I were going to head to Port Angeles to meet up with some friends," Charlotte asked, taking an earphone out.
"Well, I was hoping you could have Rosalie come get you since I wanted you to help Is-, Bella, get settled into the house," Her father replied, a tad hopeful.
Charlotte sighed, slumping back into the seat.

The Swan house wasn't the biggest- a two bedroom house with a small office, living room, full bathroom, half bath, kitchen and dining room, perfect for the daughter father duo originally living there. Charlie had asked Charlotte if she'd consider moving down to the office, to which she happily agreed at the beginning assuming that her dad just wanted a bigger office. Much to her dismay, the news of her sister's arrival came much later than she hoped.
"Sure, I guess.." She replied begrudgingly, knowing the bonding meant a lot to him.
The rest of the ride was relatively quiet with a bit of small talk here and there.
As soon as they arrived, Charlotte saw her godfather Billy show up, his son Jacob behind him.
"Hi billy," The younger Swan greeted, reaching down to hug him, followed by a short hug to her godbrother.
She managed to slip out shortly from the house, escaping to Port Angeles with Rosalie, Alice, and their distanced cousin Margaret.
They did some shopping, gossiping- mostly about Alice's new plaything down in seattle,- and the arrival of Charlotte's sister.
"Such a shame, Renee always choosing her boyfriend over her daughter," Charlotte sighed, sipping her tea. "You'd think a call every once in a while would be nice, but no, ever since I left Arizona she's been ignoring me."
Rosalie couldn't help but grunt, immediately changing the subject since she didn't like speaking of Charlotte's birth mother.
"Y'know, mommy says she's always happy to consider you her own," Rosalie reminded, sitting back in the booth.
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Look on the bright side, you won't ever have to worry about moving to Arizona!" Alice piped up, suddenly freezing.
Charlotte had been told Alice has sudden spasms, more like freezes, that restricted her movement for short periods of time, she'd never questioned it but she had the tendency to stare.
Suddenly, Rosalie's pink flip phone rung, a call from her father.
"Yes daddy?" She hummed into the phone, twirling her blonde hair.
Charlotte looked at the walls in the little cafe. The little analog clock read "6:36" and she knew it was time to get home.
"Hey Margaret, I got to head out, thanks for the little outing though," She smiled, scurrying out of the cafe to reach the bus stop on time.
The moment she got home, Isabella was already showering, leaving Charlotte to shower in the morning.
She did exactly that, leaving the house as soon as Jasper and Emmett came by. The two walked into the Swan house, treating it as their own since the twins, Emmett, and Alice were constantly over.
"Alright dad, we have to finish a lab after school so I won't be home until 4:30," she had rushed out, running out the door.

The drive to school was like any normal day, first the three stopped at a 7-11 to grab Charlotte's snacks for lunch since the other two didn't eat anything. After that, they would get to school around 7:12, leaving fourty eight minutes until school actually started but the cullens and Charlotte liked getting to school when it was empty so they could plan out any fun things to do before the bell rings, and sometimes even call Esme from one of the girls' phones in an attempt to call all six out of school, but it only worked if Charlotte was the one to call.
"It's supposed to be sunny on Wednesday, where are you dorks going to be at?" Charlotte mentioned, questioning the brothers as soon as they walked into her and Jasper's first class, psychology.
"Well, Charlise wants to restock on some animal blood so, we're probably going to head up to Alaska," Emmett replied, watching the door in anticipation for his non-blood siblings' arrivals.
"Wait, why didn't the girls come with us in the car?" the youngest Swan asked, lowering her voice to a hushed whisper as she saw Eric Yorkie making a beeline towards the brunettes and blond.
"Hey Char, how come you never mentioned having a sister? She's-" Eric began, getting cut off by Emmett's glare.
"She lived with Renee, never saw the purpose in mentioning her since I only see her twice a year," Charlotte sighed, waiting for the junior to leave her alone.
Jasper and Emmett watched as the girls walked in, giving an awkward look towards the leaving guy. Alice plopped down on Charlotte's right, immediately talking about the new guy she’s talking to in Seattle.
The classroom turned into a buzzing environment, quieting down when their teacher walked in, beginning the lesson while he did attendence.
The two brunette Cullens payed attention, taking notes for the blonde and youngest Swan as the two slacked off.
"Little lady," Jasper murmured into Charlotte's ear, brushing a strand of her hair back.
"Hm?" She hummed, a bit spaced out.
"You got that look on your face, what's plaguing that little head?" he poked, a tad upset.
She sighed, looking at the Cullen before dropping on him how she really felt about having her sister living with them. While she did enjoy having someone there who understood the struggles of their divorced parents, she was never close to her mother or sister due to them picking different parents.
Jasper sighed, rubbing her shoulder. He knew that she's been on edge since her father announced it a few weeks ago, especially because she had to give her room for the other. "Don't worry, Esme spoke to your dad and he allowed you to come up to our home in Alaska."
Charlotte couldn't help but give a small smile at that, looking at her best friend.

As soon as class was over, Margaret happily skipped over with her boyfriend Matthew.
"Great news Cullens and Swan, my mommy allowed Matthew and his brother Benji to come with you guys to Alaska so he needs a date," the girl had said, wiggling her eyebrows at the Swan girl.
"Marg if you're insinuating me getting with his brother you're insane," Charlotte giggled, smacking Margaret's shoulder.
Before Margaret could reply, Jasper came up behind the youngest Swan, wrapping his arms around her waist.
While Charlotte couldn't see, he had been shooting daggers at the other girl, to which she knew she had gotten on his nerves.
"Listen, all I'm saying is that you've been under so much stress and you might need a bit of a stress reliever," Margaret slyly suggested, knowing full well Jasper would never allow it.
"Hey Margaret, why don't you take your friend Holly?" He suggested, leaning his head on Charlotte's shoulder.
While the two family members bickered, Edward came towards the group, Isabella hiding behind him meekly.
"Just got called down to the office and they dismissed us, said we're leaving a day earlier." Before turning away to head to the parking lot he paused, turning to his siblings, "Bella's coming too. I spoke with Charlie."
Hearing those words, Charlotte's entire demeanor changed, shoulders slumping as the whole family walked down tho the lot.
Jasper, Charlotte, and Alice had walked down to the nice sports car Emmett drove, Rosalie and him down by the vehicle already.
"Uh, I need my luggage, it's at home-" Before Charlotte could finish her sentence, Edward piped up from behind, "I'll grab it when I go pick up Bella."
The youngest Swan couldn’t help but roll her eyes, mocking her sister and the Cullen boy.

The whole family drove up to Valdez, Alaska, having to accommodate to the humans since they didnt have the abilities the vampires did. The Hale twins, Emmett, and Charlotte had gone in Emmett's Jeep, Rosalie in the passenger seat while Jasper and Charlottle sat in the backseat with the luggage. Alice, Margaret, Benji, Matthew, Holly, and Alexander -Alice's "boyfriend," from Portland- were in the mini van Mr. Cullen had rented with most the luggage. That left Edward and Isabella with Mr. and Mrs. Cullen in their Range Rover with a mini trailer holding most of their stuff attached to the back.
In the Jeep, the four friends were singing along to the songs on Charlotte's MP3, having fun without worrying about the extra Swan girl. Charlotte admired her second family, sighing contently at the three Cullen kids singing and laughing heartily.
"What's got you looking so happy?" Jasper murmured to the youngest Swan, caressing her cheek.
Charlotte smiled warmly at him, slumping against him, "Nothing, jus enjoying the atmosphere."
The two in the backseat cuddled up, wanting to enjoy the calmness before putting up with Isabella’s antics.

After arriving to the Cullen residence in Alaska, the kids spread out, everyone going to different corners of the house.
Isabella, Edward, Esme, and Alice had gone out to the porch, wanting to talk with Isabella about the rules and what is expected while she stays since they’ve already had this talk with you once or twice.
Carlise, Emmett, Benjamin, and Matthew had gone to hunt for the food they were to be eating during their stay, leaving Charlotte, Jasper, Rosalie, Holly, Alexander, and Margaret in the den where they were playing board games since the mind reader and vision weren’t there to cheat.
“Hey Char, why didn’t you leave with your mom?” Margaret asked, propping herself up on her forearms.
“I mean, I dunno.” Charlotte answered truthfully. “My mom hasn’t always been the most present in our lives, especially after she moved out to Arizona. I just never felt like she was in my life growing up so I didn’t see the need.” She shrugged, moving her monopoly piece seven spaces.
Margaret didn’t press further, not wanting to make the Swan girl uncomfortable.
