A few words on transitioning…
I get a lot of messages asking for advice if or when to start to transition. Here’s my opinion:
Transitioning is a very personal thing! It is a about you, it is tiring and it is not always easy and it’s probably a decision that has an influence on the rest of your life. You should only start to transition if YOU feel ready for it! Yes, you might have a good doctor at hand now or another good opportunity to get hormones or whatever but you should listen only to your heart and please listen carefully to what it has to say. If you have any doubts about starting your transition I’d recommend to wait. Nothing is worse and more problematic if you already started to (medically) transition and then come to the conclusion that you weren’t ready for it and then have to detransition. I guess even worse than coming out is coming back in (or whatever you like to call it) 😉
If you don’t feel ready now doesn’t mean your not trans or whatever. Sometimes big decisions take time and so take the time you need. Don’t hurry because someone tells you to. Don’t rush things. Start when you are ready and don’t start if you are not ready yet. I figured out what was wrong with me when I was 27 but just wasn’t ready then - I was full of fear for several reasons and then decided to start to transition when I was 29. Sure, now looking back I think “why the hell didn’t I start to transition when I was 27?!” - I just wasn’t ready back then. Sure I would have had the options to start at that point but my guts told me to not do it then. And then two years later I was ready af! It wasn’t a decision anymore, it wasn’t something to think about anymore it was just super clear that I had to start. The necessity to dress up as a dude started killing me and I could just not handle another day anymore hiding myself and so I started with a clear mind and it was the best thing I have ever done 😊😎
And don’t let you rush by the idea that you’d be to old at a certain point to start to transition. Especially younger trans folks say that you are not able to become a cutie anymore if you didn’t start by a certain age… Guess what? That’s bullshit! If you figured everything out by the age of 19 and feel ready to start that’s cool but if you figure everything out ten years later that’s equally cool! I started hormones when I was 29 and I’d say I turned out super cute 😏😉 and then there are a lot of trans folks who started even later than I did and guess what? They are all incredibly cute 😍😍
Okay so in conclusion - transitioning is a super personal thing and you should only start with it if YOU feel good about it and ready for it. If you don’t feel good with that idea take your time! Big decisions take time - so take the time you need 😊

I must admit this weekend has been a tough one. Dysphoria and anxiety have been nagging me all weekend, I've been feeling alone and it's been hard to keep a brave face on at times.
