morning tide ; sun shining, blue birds singing, sweet light seeping into sleep - warm skin, & whatever else is happening while she's scrambling underfoot. commodities usually appreciated as she stretched 'pon blossom - coloured sheets, but now rendered wholly unimportant, when compared to the soft click! of the toaster & the white noise accompanying it. blue shimmering hues meet the heat of summer that swirls in leona's own, & brows furrow while the corners of a naked mouth tuck down in a frown most frustrated. she's joking, right ?

ballerina - painted nails dig into the gentle swell of her hips as hands rest 'pon them. the cat utters, ❛ no, hand. singular. une. uno. just one .. ! ❜ all aggravation & awe — words resting heavy in the air, she bends gracefully over the bowl of egg.

distraction comes in the form of a prize offered ; immediately, it is taken, & she is besotted with it, the egg. she passes it between pale hands, nearly drops it a mere one time, but catches it just as easily. ❛ easy? sure, super duper easy, if you say so. ❜ and, so, it begins: eyes narrowed borne of her concentration, pink tongue caught betwixt razor teeth, she hovers one hand over the bowl. attempt numero uno to crack egg against the side of it. easy, leona had said, super duper easy ! well, maybe not the super duper part, 'cause ..

the clench of a small hand incoming. off - white shell bits & a broken yolk cover wriggling fingers, remnants dripping into the mixture at the bottom of leona's bowl. sheepish eyes & a shyly smiling mouth greet the other, so ill - fitting on jinx's mouth, & when she finally speaks, her voice is uncharacteristically tiny. huh. ❛ uh .. so, that didn't quite work as planned, did it .. ? ❜
