Ugh, I forgot how unbearable some Cobra Kai groups can be. Facebook is honestly the worst place to be if you’re a Daniel fan. The amount of hate is insane. I’ve seen people straight up blame him for Silver going bad again, apparently because of his “arrogance”… like, seriously? They say his karate sucks, that Miyagi would’ve picked Johnny over him, that he never actually cared about his students—just Sam. In those ridiculous “power level” rankings, they always shove him way down. And of course, there are people saying he deserved all the harassment for being annoying, running his mouth, or sticking his nose into everything… like???
But the worst part—the thing that genuinely makes me die a little inside—is how they hype up characters like Kreese. Suddenly he had the best redemption, he’s a hero 😑, he “always cared” about Johnny and Tory in his own way… please. And then the takes about how he should’ve been there for Johnny in the final fight instead of Daniel? Or that he ended up being a better sensei than Miyagi? Be serious.
I don’t know. The show is fun, yeah, but it feels like so much got twisted compared to the original movies. And honestly, interacting with parts of this fandom just leaves me frustrated, annoyed, and kinda discouraged.
