tonight is for our ghosts

This has been an undertaking and a half (.....most of the time was probably sewing on the sequins) but I am so happy with how it turned out! It's my second real bookbinding creation (so there are some technical things that could have gone better BUT) I'm beyond thrilled with it and so happy to have something physical to celebrate this video that's meant so much to me over the years. Frank -> Mercator. Controversial. People who know nothing about cartography love to shit on it but it's needed for important purposes (maritime navigation & web maps)

Ray -> Winkel tripel projection. Triple threat. Used by national geographic so you know it's the good stuff. Beautiful, underrated.

Gerard -> Dymaxion projection. Weird and unusual but at its core deeply human (shows the migration of early humans easier than any other projection). Top 5 projections that say "any pronouns are fine"
