Although they were a common sight at LAX, All Nippon Airways 777-300ERs are kind of a rarity now. Several have been retired and the few used today are not typically flown to LA. The main reason for the SFO trip in the first place. From March 29 to May 31, Lufthansa was flying their classic 747-400s on flights out of San Francisco. It was a chance too good to miss. Unfortunately on my last trip to San Francisco, it was before United retired their 747-400s and I never got to see them during that trip. With the imminent retirement of Lufthansa -400s next year, it was in many ways a redemption opportunity. Anyways here is LH455 Getting Underway to Frankfurt (FRA) in excellent conditions. After a weeklong visit to LA, Dubai Air Wing's 747-400M (the last 747 Combi version flying in the world) Departed at 8pm on the dot to London-Stansted as "Dubai 3". This 1991 built 747 started its life with Air Canada, then went to Air India before being acquired by Dubai Air Wing in 2008. A6-COM is used to fly delegates and in particular the Royal family's race horses as some of the specialized cargo. A unique feature of the Combi is the cargo door on the back and a separation wall in the passenger cabin, therefore allowing the aircraft to easily fly pax and cargo on one airplane. (June 7, 2026)

This past Saturday, EgyptAir inaugurated service to Los Angeles for the first time in over 25 years with their new flagship A350. While weather was dismal on Saturday, the Departure on Monday was in rather clear skies. Here is EgyptAir's MS984 to Cairo (CAI) Getting Underway. Good to see EgyptAir back at LAX (May 25, 2026).

Once agin, The "Legend" (Air X Charter) BBJ came by to Van Nuys for an hour. 9H-ELF came from SJC before Departing to Las Vegas (LAS) as AXY940N or "Legend 940 November" (May 7, 2026).

ARG01 Departing back to Argentina via Lima (LIM) with President Millei on-board. I was totally not expecting the sudden bank to the left after takeoff, hence why it turned out this way. Either way, it is always fun when the Argentine 757 comes to LA (May 6, 2026).
