“Watch where you’re fucking going!” Dexter shouted at the person who bumped into him, looking very exhausted, the dark circles Ace always had were much darker and he seemed to bite out his words much sharper than Jason ever did. He was agitated and anxious, untrusting of the person they’d run into.

“hey man, watch where the fuck you’re going! you saw me walking here!” the male spat right back to the other, getting in face.

To say she was nervous was an understatement. Ruth knew the ways of the world and accepted the fact that someone wasn’t going to like her — Solely for the fact that she had taken on the job as a chaplain, a religious leader. She had decided to roam the hallways, inviting people to all she had planned to start up. Walking up to one, she began to speak very casually. “Hi! My name’s Ruth. I’m the new chaplain here. I would like to invite you to the daily Bible studies I’m beginning. Would you like to participate?”

“--oh shit,” he jumped at the female’s overpowering happy greeting. “daily? what happened to it only on every sunday?” chase questioned quickly getting back to his normal sarcastic, happy, and obnoxious self. 

“You must be my next guest.” Sal walked out of his office and greeted the person before him. “I’m Dr. Malik, you can call me that or Salman.”

chase rolled his eyes but remained to keep his usual obnoxious smirk on his face. “i don’t need to be here, you know. but i bet a dollar for every person you heard say that, you’d be rich.” he replied throwing himself on the small couch. “ooh, cozy. -- so doc. you gonna tell me what’s wrong with me? but can we keep it interesting and can it be about things i don’t know about myself?”

Declan sat on the floor just outside his room, with his head resting in his hands. He had been dragged out and told he needed to at least try and socialize with other people. After walking down the end of the hallway with him, the nurse who had been with him was dragged away to settle a conflict between two patients and Declan was left on his own. He decided to sit outside his room; figuring it was close enough to run back in if he needed to but also somewhere where it looked like he was at least trying to do what the nurse had asked of him. Hearing foot steps making their way down the hall, Declan slowly lifted his head to look at the person who was approaching him.

it was chase’s first night at this asylum and he wasn’t trying to act like a first grader looking for friends, but he thought it’d be nice to meet someone -- anyone. his dark orbs couldn’t help but land on the nervous looking sap sitting between two people but looking very lonely. shrugging to himself, the male approached the other, and literally slid into the seat across from him. “you my friend look like you need a fidget spinner.” he commented with a small smile. “i’m chase.” he offered his hand.

“If you’re trying to make a friend you’re talking to the wrong person, just cause I’m tiny and adorable doesn’t mean I want to talk about your stupid feelings.” Elizabeth grumbled. 

chase watched as the blonde told off the person in front of her to then watching that person walk away. with a smirk plastered on his face he walked passed her slowly. “wow, i’d hate to be that guy -- or any guy that deals with you. oh and by the way,” he stopped to look back at her. “tiny, yes. adorable, hell to the no.” he commented with another obnoxious smirk before walking again.

“What the fuck is a fidget spinner? Sounds like a sex toy.”

“--well aren’t you a sight.” chase mumbled but mostly to himself. “it’s supposed to help with anxiety but i think it’s a scam.” he finally answered her.

Lillian paused with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth, the Doctor having thought that she was well hidden in her spot, she slowly removed the cigarette and gave a low sigh at the other “You must have a good enough reason to come and find me here…” she said in her cold tone, yet this time it held less venom.

“you know those are bad for you, right?” chase smirked and took a seat next to the woman with his arms leaning on top of his knees. “i honestly was looking for my own spot. it’s not all about you. selfish.” he scrunched his nose at the name calling in a teasing way. with the smirk plastered on his face he glanced back at her. “but it’s my first night here and i haven’t had a cigarette since i left my house so... are you gonna be kind enough to let me get a last hit?”
