Do y’all know the preseason discourse that happened with Turner? About how his sister read him on Twitter and claimed he regularly says the n-word? 👀

But then someone exposed HER and posted screenshots of tweets she posted saying the n-word? Then she posted a non-apology saying she’s liberal, supports black and trans lives, and that it was actually her friend who stole her phone and posted that?? 🤡 maximum clownery

Anyways, I’m wondering if someone can find receipts for the claims about Turner. His sister has without a doubt proven to be an unreliable source, and it’s possible she was just trying to drag him for the sake of dragging him, but it’s also possible there was truth to what she was saying…

Twitter consensus seems to be mixed. Ppl are saying this is damage control, that she’s just jealous and wants to ruin her brother’s chances, she should just be mad at her parents, she deserves to be treated the same as him, etc etc. There’s also a decent amount of support for her both under the original and apology threads. Tho it’s worth noting, it looks like every person supporting/accepting her apology is a yt or non-black person. Shouldn’t need to be said, but quite frankly it’s not a yt or really any NB person’s place to accept that apology.
