Existing Storm

Something I never really praised Jesus for–changing corcumstances. Usually I am first to complain when something is out of the ordinary, when things don’t go my way. When I am exhausted, stressed, frustrated. But I realized this morning: God placing us in new circumstances is His invitation to find Him and get to know Him from a different angle. It’s like a treasure hunt: how can I find Jesus in this?

When Jesus died he wasn’t just takin a three day snooze. He fought. He battled. He defeated death. He conquered it. He overcame it. And then, He rose.

I can say that Jesus grace is beautiful, but until I live in it, I will never be changed. Attraction to the gospel is popular, but submission to the Father through Jesus Christ is something that nobody truly desires. Jesus tells us to follow Him, not just His teachings, it is a complete surrender of me, for a complete gain of Him, and until that becomes our daily routine, it will only be a pretty little sticker we place on our fridge door.

He would not let the fear rise, nor hope falter, nor defeat be entered in his thoughts.

God is teaching me not to depend on people but on Him only

There are rare people who will fuel the fire inside of you, who will awaken a dormant passion, who will push you and better you. She alone is my rarity.
