Jessica assumed by the size of the paddock, this wasn’t a small dinosaur she was supposed to be looking for. “What exactly is an Indominous Rex..?” she asked, eyes peeled for the missing animal.

This was the assignment Mr Masrani was excited about. This was what he’d wanted her to use to sell the idea of an new and improved Jurassic World. A whole new advertising campaign based around this attraction. And it wasn’t even there..?

“Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, and a few others.” She informed. “I’m sure that she’s in there somewhere.” 

Pepper took out her phone and placed a call. She was asking for the person on the other end to locate the dino.

Jessica laughed, toasted Wanda and took a drink. She could compete with the best of them in a competition for worst father award. 

“That sounds like a fun game. Can you name a superhero with a good father figure?.. X-Men notwithstanding. Xavier doesn’t count”

“I think Strange had somewhat decent childhood,” Wanda said trying to figure out who could’ve been happy back then.

Name a more iconic Duo: Carol Danvers & Jessica Drew

Carol and Jess, the Kirk to the other’s Spock. Through thick and thin these two have been there for each other, through alien attacks, through memory loss, through the birth of Jess’ baby getting interrupted by Skrulls. Every hero needs someone to lean on, so they might as well lean on each other.

Jess shook her hand and gave her a small smile. This job hadn’t been part of her plans. But she needed out of New York and Owen had hooked her up with it.

“No idea… He was wondering alone. I was hoping guest relations or security would be part of your tour so we could drop him off”

Lifting the walkie to her mouth, Pepper called for a guard. “Thank you. Someone is coming to help. Okay?” She pulled a string of stickers out of her jacket pocket. “Would you like three?” The woman loved children.

Standing back up, she looked at Jess and smiled. “How do you like things here? Like I said, we can see whatever you want,” the guard showed and took the child to lost and found. “I am in no hurry and have cleared my schedule just for you. We can even eat at whatever restaurant on the premise you want.”

Jessica stood and watched the woman interact with the little boy. Pepper was clearly much better with children than she was… 

“Everything. Mr Masrani wants me to design an entire new advertising and social media campaign. So facts, figures, info on the animals, the attractions, food, hotels… Upcoming exhibits” Owen had given her some info. But just about enough to get her the job, she knew the park was working on something new. And big.

“I’ll get my assistant to get that to you as soon as possible.” She said firmly. “Everything wrapped up in a folder. I’m sure that there won’t be anything left out. You’ll have a lot of work to do.”

“We do have accommodation if you don’t want to travel back and forth on and off the island. Most make the boat ride and commute. However, we do have apartments away from the hustle and bustle of the park. I’ll get the papers for that too. If you’re interested.”

“I guess it can’t hurt to look?..” Jess had zero money so accommodation would be hard. She’d spent every cent she had to get out here.

It took a jeep ride through the park and a couple of stops just to see the dinosaurs along the river.

She made some notes as they went round. Pepper clearly had an impressive memory and Jess couldn’t help but think she’d have been better in this role than she was.
