Nothing in your life has been random. Not the person who broke your heart. Not the job that ended. Not the door that closed without warning. Not even the moments you still don't fully understand. You think you were unlucky. You think you chose wrong. You think you should have seen it coming. But every encounter exposed something. Every ending revealed something. Every disappointment stripped something back. Some people arrived to awaken you. Some arrived to test your boundaries. Some arrived to show you exactly what you will never tolerate again. And yes, some came to hurt you. But even that pain carved clarity. Even that loss sharpened your self-worth. You weren't being punished. You were being refined. Growth rarely feels graceful while it's happening. It feels like confusion. It feels like loss. It feels like the ground shifting under your feet. But nothing was wasted. Every lesson stretched your capacity. Every fracture widened your heart. Every time you chose to keep going, something stronger in you took shape. Stop labeling your story as good or bad. It was necessary. It was forming you. Trust the unfolding. Trust the timing. Trust that the same force that dismantled what no longer fit is the one building what does. Life is not happening against you. It is happening through you. And you are becoming exactly who you were meant to be.

It's nuts how common it is to not allow children to be angry, even (especially) in households where adults are angry all the time. As a child I knew my own anger was unacceptable--not just expressing it outwardly but feeling it at all. So now as an adult my immediate reaction to my own anger is often to feel guilt instead of like. Noticing when someone is being rude or unfair or my boundaries are being violated or whatever. fucked up.

Putting the term "Catholic guilt" on a high shelf where fandom can't reach it until everyone learns how to identify characters who are very very clearly coded as Protestant.
Me opening up the half-finished draft of my ‘narratively creative’ Conclave fanfic:
the reason that wounds that break the skin hurt is because its always supposed to be dark inside your body and when your blood sees sunlight for the first time it gets scared. and that causes the pain. or maybe it doesnt
Seeing people I know and like using AI is making me understand the protagonists of those old time sci fi dystopia's.
"Oh I don't normally use AI, I just wanted it to plan my trip"
You lived on this planet for decades, you know what you like, there are hundreds of websites where you can type into any search engine " things to do in [area]" and have at least a hundred different options.
"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"
The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.
"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."

I think a lot of people were raised being told that things are bad with no explanation as to why they’re bad and I don’t think I know enough about psychology to make any big statements about that
but anyways I think a lot of people see cheating on your partner as bad because they were just told that sex outside of your partner is bad or something but really cheating on your partner is bad because you had an agreement based on trust with them and you broke that trust so like why should they trust you with anything else now
