MOTHERLODE ⚔️ I want to share some thoughts about my visuals somewhere kind of private like here hah.
This Wii-cyborg-knight outfit was one of the first things I conceptualized for my song. I was thinking about the ways that kids dress up as video game heroes, gathering things from around the house to play-fight with. Once I got my sword & armor arm piece, and figured out the best way to tape a Wii to your head, everything came together. It’s really hard to move around in though haha.
Being developed at the same time, the blend of medieval & electronic aesthetics in this visual would go on to shape the overall sound of my upcoming EP. More on that soon haha.
I actually intended to wear this outfit for the album cover too, but I was so eager to release the track and couldn’t find a photographer in time. But, I wanted to make sure it was the first thing you saw as my single announcement & in my music video. This look totally captures my message about transforming into your ideal, coolest self that MOTHERLODE speaks to.
