why does being a one direction fan equate to being unworthy of respect as an intellectual? why does enjoying dancing and singing around to harmless happy music make me any less worthy of being taken seriously? last time i checked enjoying fun music doesn’t make you silly. catch middle aged people on the dance floor at parties dancing ridiculously to the YMCA and still being taken seriously as individuals. but god forbid i get caught with ‘drag me down’ showing on my ipod screen because that is one direction and that is entirely different somehow and can downgrade my mentality, intelligence and personality? fuck those double standards damn
