âDid you want me joining you tomorrow? I have no problem leaving Alecto to watch the club and Ivy does a lovely job as bouncer.â He shrugged, already opening up a bottle to pour two glasses for them to enjoy. The way he doted and submitted to Evanâs wishes was a far cry from how he mocked and often dug his heels in for others. It took most people a few tried to get Amycus compliant with a request while it only took Evan a mere mention of a favor.Â
âLetâs see, what could I offer to a man who seems to have everything, hm?â He furrowed his brows, putting the glasses down onto a table and stretched himself out onto the couch. âWell, I offer myself, mainly. Thatâs a given, but you are aware I tend to give you anything you ask for, yes? What arenât the others giving you?â Aside from his eyes offering a small glare to the elf in his kitchen, Amycus offered nothing but the softest of tones and features for the wizard in his company.Â
Nothing was a tease or a joke; and if he said it: he meant it. But that was only ever true for two people; Alecto, his beloved twin and other half, and Evan; someone he would indeed die for if given a chance to. âI thought Iâd be offering quite the lovely evening with us having to do nothing but enjoy what I got for us, but I do love the ideas you come up with.âÂ

Evan blinked, still virtually expressionless which, ironically, was giving him more simple pleasure than heâd experienced all day. âNo.â he said after a moment, âIâm not in the habit of torturing people I like, unless they ask me nicely,â he added with the barest hint of a smirk. âYou can run your place with dear Alecto and Iâll play perfect till the night is through. Then Iâm come here.â And heâd shed the perfect in favour of something more pure.
He cocked his head, regarding Amycus through half-lidded eyes, âHmm, not a bad gift as they go. And in what ways are you offering yourself?â he asked, voice growing a little deeper, though still so quiet and unlike his public persona. âYou do. And I like it that way.â he was silent for several more moments âPeace, mostly. They donât give me peace. Itâs an exhausting affair, moreso this time of year. âSo can you give me an honest moment of peace, of good company?â
Amycus was good company, he put on the best of shows, but Evan wasnât looking to be entertained right now. No. âAnd what have you got?â he asked, pushing himself up a little more, his expertly fitted suit showing a few wrinkles from the dayâs wear. âShow me and I may find a way to... enhance it.â Â Â Â Â
