Glad its "warring with the flesh" and "in Christ you are a new creation" and not "no, this is who you really are and always will be".
Here's a source for the analysis, but it probably is not the source.
Workers’ share of US economic output has fallen to its lowest level since the government began keeping records in 1947, according to data th
Some points of interest:
Corporate profits are soaring. After taxes, they now take 12.3 percent of national output, far above their postwar average of 7.3 percent.
Adjusted for inflation, hourly wages have risen 3 percent since the end of 2019, Ip noted. Corporate profits over the same period have risen 50 percent.
The Economic Policy Institute calculates that since 1979 the productivity of American workers has grown 90 percent while the pay of the typical worker has grown 33 percent. Had wages tracked output, the average worker would earn $16.40 more an hour today.
The profits are concentrated among the largest corporations. Earnings at the 500 biggest US firms rose 28 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier, the fastest pace since 2021, and their profit margins reached 14.8 percent. The seven technology giants known as the “Magnificent 7”—Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Tesla—grew their profits 63 percent.
In the United States, the richest 1 percent of households hold 31.7 percent of all wealth. The bottom half hold barely 2.5 percent.
so Caleb does speak Spanish and the reason for it is sooooooooo
the japanese “-ne?” particle and the british slang term “innit” serve the same function
Standard English: It’s cold, isn’t it?
Japanese: Samui desu ne?
British: It’s fuckin’ freezin’, innit?
i have to do everything around here
i hate this cause i did japanese for like a year and this explains the use of the -ne particle WAYYYY better than my teachers ever did. it took me ages to comprehend what this post makes abundantly clear.
my teachers: its like a, a little rise at the end of a sentence, to show that you are seeking a response, while not warranting the -ka particle which would make it a proper question.
me: ok. i guess i get that??
this post: its like saying “innit?”
me: oh. oh no.
fun fact: afaik, "-ne" was inherited from the Portuguese settlers/priests that stayed in Japan in the 16th century. It comes from "né?", which the contraction of "não é?", "isn't it?".
It's LITERALLY "innit".
oh so like "eh" in canadian

Let the historical record show that Mr. Beast was entirely ignorable if you were just like doing literally anything else. I've been on youtube as long as it's been around and I've never been recommended a video by him. I see him in passing as a meme. I thought he was a made up joke, a caricature of bad youtuber content miners until someone I trust confirmed his existence to me in late 2025.
Pros of being in fandoms consisting of yourself and a brick: very little drama, easy to avoid the yikes
Cons of being in fandoms consisting of yourself and a brick: any content that exists is content you have to make yourself

one of the best sentences I've read on Wikipedia
anne from richard iii is like the coolest shakespeare character ever and appears for approximately 5 minutes and then never again
wasted potential. shakespeare should have brought her back to just intermittently spit on richard between scenes
literally what would we do without gif makers thank you gif makers THANK YOU GIFMAKERS i love nothing more than to watch a tiny moment of a scene loop over and over and over the world is so beautiful
they should invent a disproportionate emotional response that goes away when you understand it's disproportionate. they should invent a way to logic yourself out of emotions

In the 10 months dr Langdon was gone there probably wasn’t anyone who told Mel jokes 😐 or waited for her to find the joke funny 😐 im sick
#i need at least one scene in season 3 where mel says something totally deadpan #that is clearly a joke #and frank LOSES it laughing #like we've already seen him smile at her jokes #he clearly does find her funny #but i want him to find her hilarious and pick up on the jokes no one else picks up on (by @queenofattolia)
