No Hanako spam this year. In the last year my 10 year long relationship came to an end. I can't read KS this year because the emotions would probably finish me off. Sorry to the few people still around for Hanako reposting

You'd think after almost 20 reads of hanako's route it wouldn't bring me to a bawling mess any more. But NOPE I'm about 5 minutes away from the big crying scene and I'M ALREADY CRYING

I think part of what makes Katawa Shoujo so good that often gets taken for granted is how much our "blank slate" self insert isn't a blank slate. Hisao has a lot of opinions and takes throughout the story, and in each path you get to see him grow and adapt as a person differently. Its a nice touch that helps us be more invested in the relationships we see unfold. More book-ish than most VNs I guess?
