“OH! I almost took you right on out, little me--”

Both. The girl is, both, laughing and crying all in one, messy go. There’s no use weeping over spilled milk, no, nor should there be any reason to laugh over spilled booze; yet we have Evangeline rioting her way through a plethora of both... champagne pop giggles, tear drop pinked cheeks... 

“I was just... Well, I was proving a point, and...” the show was over. some similarly drunk fellow had told her to Do A Dance... A pirouette seemed a simple enough task, and it should have been! Really! She’d even suckled down half the beer in hand mid-spin before so unceremoniously barreling into the man himself... 

couldn’t time things so terribly if she tried, really. Of course.

“... and I am so sorry, I...” stumbling, over her words and her own toes, before hugging the now very empty beer bottle against her now damp dress, staring instead at Robert with the most pathetic of little pouts poised, an eager attempt to TRY and stop her laughter. 

“Oh, but this year, this year, I’m telling you--” Evangeline’s lying in the grass, propped up barely by a helpful elbow while busying herself with a bundle of dandelions, trying to recreate the little floral bracelets she’s seen her students make;
