Hollywood Slave

All I can think about is 18 year old me sitting in my room in my old house, paralyzed with fear about the changes that lied ahead. My parents just got divorced and now we are selling the house and sending me to Syracuse with no place to call home when I return. 

I think about the last time I experienced a life change as big as this. 

High school graduation. 

The sense of uncertainty for what my life would look like was daunting. Would I become everything I hoped to become? 

Have I become everything I hoped to be?

Honestly, no. I was. But I was ignorant. 

The summer of 2015 changed me in such a way that will forever define who I turn out to be. 

I have now seen myself at my best, and seen myself at my worst. 

I will not let this summer drag me down, I cannot be that person.
