Most of you won’t remember this but it was actually kind of insane that the Erins revealed that Hollyleaf was alive after the tunnel collapse in sunrise a considerable amount of time before the books revealed it.

My heart absolutely aches for Moonpaw (I'm reading Hidden Moon rn but am vaguely aware of future events and are fine with spoilers). Her experiences with Morningkit and trying to keep her at bay is eerily similar to how I try to deal with my intrusive thoughts as someone with diagnosed OCD. Her logic of "if I keep busy, then I have no room to think about it" and "if I stay awake, I can't hurt anyone" are exact thoughts and practices I have gone though. Moonpaw is constantly afraid she will harm others around her similar to my experience with harm OCD, even down to "what if I hurt someone while I'm asleep?" I am in no way claiming that Moonpaw has OCD OR should be considered OCD representation (because it is harmful and scary to say someone's intrusive are "real" like Morningkit), but I am saying her character writing is extremely sharp and realistic for someone suffering mentally. Though Warriors has a problem with characters not sharing information with each other (for cheep plot tension), I completely understand Moonpaw not wanting to let others know what she is going through. "What if they think I'm dangerous?" are the exact thoughts I have experienced when dealing with OCD before knowing what it is. I hope she finds peace with the idea "the harder you fight it, the louder the thoughts will become." The writing team really knocked it out of the park with Moonpaw!

This is a really insightful and interesting perspective, thank you so much for sharing! Perhaps maybe someone involved in the writing process could have had experiences at least somewhat similar to yours?

The team have taken a lot of care with writing their characters this arc, especially the struggles they go through. I wonder if they had any kind of extra help or consultancy when working out what they wanted to do with these guys. Or maybe it’s just a case of wanting this arc to focus more on character development than large events. So there’s more page space to go deep into these characters in ways that the books haven’t really done before.

People act like Mothwing forced Shadowsight to take care of his groomer and then turn around and act like Tigerheartstar absolutely nothing wrong and was in the right!

Even though it was Tigerstar that told Shadowsight to take more care of his groomer after Shadowsight told him he couldn’t do this anymore.

i am only severely annoyed that in-universe, bristlefrost is more often referenced as “the she-cat rootspring loved” and not as the cat who’s ultimate sacrifice saved the clans on such a cosmic level that without her, starclan and the dark forest would’ve been rendered extinct. cats are free to love those in other clans and pursue those relationships without fear of exile bc of her sacrifice !!!

This is so true, hadn’t notice that until now. She deserves way more credit. It’s a shame her story just isn’t really being passed on.

I know this is old, but I’d like to point out that he could’ve also brought them to ThunderClan as well, he was good friends with Firestar & knows firsthand that ThunderClan would probably be very welcoming to a kittypet & half-clan cat, given Firestar’s known past.

Yeah, it’s still not ideal, but it keeps his reputation clean & allows Smoke & Darkkit to be apart of the clans.

Honestly Firestar is the kind of guy who would absolutely take in Smoke and Darkkit, he would likely figure out Onewhisker is the father and would probably confront him about it but never put him unless it was life and death.

A few years ago I did see art for an AU that someone was doing where Darkkit did end up in ThunderClan and was raised alongside Squirrel and Leaf as their brother.

It would be so funny for Darktail to be a fiercely protective younger brother. He would have tried to beat Brambleclaw’s ass during TNP

Okay, if WarriorClan does become a lake clan, I NEED at least one gathering scene with them.

The clans (except WarriorClan) are all gathered together to discuss what they should do about WarriorClan, as they’re doing so, WarriorClan finally comes in & Monkeystar is welcomed a spot on the leaders tree/rock by Squirrelstar (who figured that since Monkeystar is WarriorClan’s leader & the discussion is surrounding her clan, that she deserves a spot), much to the shugrin of the other leaders. Chaos ensues as it becomes increasingly apparent that Monkeystar & WarriorClan have no clue as to what the clans truly are.

That would be so fun. Particularly from Tigerheartstar. He would not hold back on being a complete asshole 😭

With the return to the gorge, I wonder if we’re going to see all the cats that were once apart of SkyClan & either left or disappeared randomly. I’d love to get some confirmation on what happened to Shrewtooth & Egg, alongside seeing how the former daylight warriors, like Snookthorn, Harveymoon & Ebonyclaw, are doing.

Same, I would love to see any of them again. Imagine if Waspwhisker, Birdwing or Cloverfoot have managed to find their way back to the gorge?

Imagine if Starlingpaw gets rid of Hawkwing through nefarious means and does indeed become Starlingstar then Changing Skies ends there. And then suddenly we’re dropped into the realisation we’re in part 1 of a wider story for the first time since power of three to omen of the stars.

Also it would work as a really grim parallel to the ending of ASC where the end of the leadership turmoil ends on a triumphant and happy note that will result in RiverClan’s salvation, meanwhile this act could work to accelerate SkyClan towards doom.

And if the clans are changing territories I don’t think we’re going to round that off in the time we have left in the arc, at least not in a satisfying way. It could be another cliffhanger hook outside of the whole Starlingstar thing.

Like imagine if we’re about to have clans deciding who gets what piece of land and the new SkyClan leader is basically another Tigerclawstar.

The warriors socials have done another post about their new mystery project that is seemingly a game. A full reveal will be on 6th August.

They stopped people from peeking in the series 2 mini plush boxes by putting the plushies in a silver bag inside the box. Anyway, the boxes for the keychains are really easy to push a little open at the bottom just enough to see who's inside. Not that I'm encouraging such behavior...

Here’s my hopes for WarriorClan.

1: they don’t join the other clans. I already mentioned how in doing so, they’d just become SkyClan 2.0. Tho there’s also the factor of the obvious overpopulation that they’d just be fueling.

2: they don’t turn Monkeystar into an asshole for conflict. We’ve already had Onestar-itis affect so many previous leaders, I can’t deal with one of the most unique leaders, as well as one of the only female leaders, suffering it.

I share both of your hopes, particularly the second. I will be devastated if they turn Monkeystar into an ass. At least the prologue for guiding light seems promising for her characterisation
