Then Brambleclaw became leader at the end of The Last Hope anyways. Apparently the Erins did intend to pick someone else to succeed Firestar, but changed their minds after the 'someone unexpected' comment. Still made for a wild unintended trolling of the fandom.

The original plan was meant to be unexpected so I assume that is what was being referred to. Originally Brambleclaw was supposed to leave the clans because he feared becoming like his dad and then make Squirrelflight leader in his stead. But editor input changed that.

Absolutely wild to bait the fans with this original plan but then change it to the most expected choice lol.

Like imagine, he finds out he isn't StarClan's Chosen and he starts up a coup? I think him being struck down by StarClan as Ripplestar and Mudclaw have would by ironic.

Yes definitely. It wasn’t touched on as much in Chasing Shadows but in Hidden Moon he had a lot of ideas about being chosen by StarClan. I definitely think he’s going to have a divine superiority complex. It would be cool if he dies in a warrior that appears like he’s being struck down.

Knowing Waspwhisker I feel like he would probably submit to Hawkwing after all this time. He probably wouldn’t feel comfortable being deputy to a clan that has vastly transformed since he was last with it.

This happened with both Hank Green and TheOddOnesOut 😭

Even though it was Tigerstar that told Shadowsight to take more care of his groomer after Shadowsight told him he couldn’t do this anymore.

I know this is old, but I’d like to point out that he could’ve also brought them to ThunderClan as well, he was good friends with Firestar & knows firsthand that ThunderClan would probably be very welcoming to a kittypet & half-clan cat, given Firestar’s known past.

Yeah, it’s still not ideal, but it keeps his reputation clean & allows Smoke & Darkkit to be apart of the clans.

Honestly Firestar is the kind of guy who would absolutely take in Smoke and Darkkit, he would likely figure out Onewhisker is the father and would probably confront him about it but never put him unless it was life and death.

A few years ago I did see art for an AU that someone was doing where Darkkit did end up in ThunderClan and was raised alongside Squirrel and Leaf as their brother.

The clans (except WarriorClan) are all gathered together to discuss what they should do about WarriorClan, as they’re doing so, WarriorClan finally comes in & Monkeystar is welcomed a spot on the leaders tree/rock by Squirrelstar (who figured that since Monkeystar is WarriorClan’s leader & the discussion is surrounding her clan, that she deserves a spot), much to the shugrin of the other leaders. Chaos ensues as it becomes increasingly apparent that Monkeystar & WarriorClan have no clue as to what the clans truly are.

With the return to the gorge, I wonder if we’re going to see all the cats that were once apart of SkyClan & either left or disappeared randomly. I’d love to get some confirmation on what happened to Shrewtooth & Egg, alongside seeing how the former daylight warriors, like Snookthorn, Harveymoon & Ebonyclaw, are doing.
