Effects:

There are 19 planned effects. Currently, there are 4/19 fully sprited effects, 2/19 fully programmed effects and 6/19 effects that are at least partially sprited.

Tilesets:

Currently, there is 1 tileset, roughly 75% complete, for Natsuki's home. Tilesets continue to be a struggle due to a certain obsession over detail.

NPCs:

There are currently 4 NPCs, none of which have been fully animated as of yet.

Outfits:

There are currently 8 outfits planned. Presently, there are 2/8 outfits functional.

Maps:

There are currently 13 maps, 5 of which are fully operational.

Current endeavours:

-Finish Natsuki's tileset

-Finish animating ???'s sprite

-Program ??? effect (Complete, next step may be animation)

-Finish spriting other started effects

-Finish mapping the layout of Niita. (Partially complete, actual programming to be done, but more or less complete on paper)

Current problems:

There will be dialogue and NPCs that talk to you. I'm so tired of the silent protagonist/NPCs that bleep at you in Yume Nikki fangames. However, I hopefully will be able to make conversations have a point, rather than an element for the sake of an element. I'm also going to try to limit examination text such that it doesn't get out of hand.

There will be multiple endings, but they aren't really rooted in black-and-white morality systems.

Natsuki is exploring the OUTSIDE world. No "fall asleep, moderately spooky imagery". Her world is already a lush and surreal place, no need to have her spend all day in bed!

In addition to the effects, there will be other goodies to find beyond menu types and the like. Hey, maybe if you find all of them, something interesting will happen.

This game is an RPGmaker2003 (ＲＰＧツクル２００３) game created by developer ayakashi, based very loosely on the Yume Nikki fangame formula, although I hesitate to call it a fangame itself. The only thing it really has in common with fangames is an exploration element and effect-grabbing.

In this game, the player controls Natsuki Tagami, an eighteen-year-old girl living on her own in the mysterious land of Natsukuni, where it seems to be always summer, and all of its inhabitants are mythological creatures called youkai. Being raised in this strange land as the only known human, Natsuki seems to be relatively complacent, if a bit lonely, until one day, a visitor reveals a secret about her past.
