at the sound of a woman’s voice, lingering, above him, his eyes, had blinked, – as if, he’d been, awoken, from a trance. staring, at nothing, he’d sat, idly by, as the clock, had dwindled. closer, and, closer, to the time, it’d be… considered acceptable, for a friend, of the bride, to depart. had he, been lonely? Well, yes, he’d been the textbook-definition, of such, – but, he certainly hadn’t expected, to have been called out, for it. “who’s… to say, I’m not… loose, enough, for my liking?” he’d quipped, once he’d combed, the immediate area, as if, to be sure, that it’d been he, who she’d spoken to. slipping, from the seat, he’d sat upon, initially, he’d stood up, to greet her, properly. there’d been a slight, chuckle, released, at the mention, of his suit, and the shoulders, they’d clothed, but, nonetheless, it’d caused the corners, of lips, to curl upwards, into the formings, of a smile. “I’d like ta’ take your word, for it, lady, but… I haven’t, even, got your name,” he’d commented, as he’d eyed the drink, that she coaxed him, to try.
“Because you look like a sad sack sitting here.” While Evie was aware people had their own ideas of fun and a good time, he was verging on being the sinking rock in the room bringing the mood down. This was a celebration and she hadn’t even seen a smile, not to mention how’d sequestered himself off alone. Taking a step back to give him room to get to his feet, she smiled some in getting a chuckle out of him and let her eyes roam as she was given the full sight of him. “Plus, you look too good. Where are all the hot girls you could be dancing with?” A brow rose in challenge as if she was proving her point ---- everyone was there to have a good time. “You don’t need my name to try a drink.” Evie gestured to it once more, thinking it could do him some good. “I’m Evie though and you are?”
