[/nods slightly before following him/] “…Did I keep you waiting long?”

"Ah… I forgot, sorry…" [/rubs the back of her neck/] "I left my phone at home on accident this morning so I didn’t get it. But I have nowhere to be so we can work on it now, if you want…"

[/blinks slightly, a bit surprised/] “Really? What for?”

('frowns') We were paired for Music class remember ?  Didn't you get the text ?

[/pulls her hand back, her lips pursed together slightly/] “I understand sleeping in the library or in your own home, but why outside? Doesn’t it bother you?”

[/hesitantly shakes his shoulder lightly/] “…You’re not going to sleep there all day, are you?”

"Um… The Vietnam War and how it affected the country as a whole. We have to discuss the different sides and issues that the country came across and what was lost or gained through our intervention. We then have to express our personal opinions and explain whether or not we agree with the decision to enter the war in the first place. After that, we states the consequences of both sides and conclude the assignment."

[/looks blankly at her, not really understanding what she was asking of him, licks his lips for a moment/] "Is..there like any heavy lifting I could do instead physical..y'know ?"

[/looks up at him, taken back by his sudden change in attitude/] …What’s with the sudden change?

[/sighs, and shoves his hands into his pockets/] Don't worry about it, what are we working on ?

If I have to suffer by doing this project alone, then it’s only fair that you sit through it and watch me quietly since you’re not even going to lift a finger to help.

[/feels his phone vibrate, frowns softly as he read over the text message, looks up and sighs/]

And what makes you say that, huh? Because I’m from the ‘prissy, rich kid’ crowd? [/removes her gaze from him and begins working again/] Don’t get so full of yourself. I’ve had my share of disappointment before in the past so hearing a ‘no’ from you means very little to me.

[/scoffs/] Whatever, I don't understand why I'm here, you should realize I'm not even going to try.

[/scoffs softly/] You’re unbelievable.

[/snorts/] What not used to people saying no to you ?

[/glances at him for a moment before pursing her lips together/] You could at least try to contribute, you know.

[/pauses for a moment/] Sorry, no can do, I wouldn't want to mess up all your hard work.

[/blinks for a moment before getting up from her seat and following him/] “Hey… The least you can do is give me your number in return. How would I know if you’re really going to text me or not? Or if you’re going to give my number to one of your friends so they can prank call me or something.”

{/scoffs, shoving his hands into his pockets/} Honestly, I'm going to text you and not give your number out, I'm not that type of thug. Don't worry your pretty little head about it.

[/looks at him for a moment before shaking her head; opens a page of her notebook and writes down her number before tearing out the piece she wrote on and handing it to him/] “Next time, maybe a ‘please’ wouldn’t hurt.”

{/scoffs before taking out his phone, and putting in her number/} "But it would for me."{/stands up/} "I'll text you later, I'm going now."{/starts to walk out of the room/}
