I want to be honest with you, completely and without hiding anything anymore.

For a long time, I was in denial about what I was feeling. I kept pushing you away, telling myself I would be fine without you, even when everyone around me tried to convince me otherwise. Even when my own heart knew the truth, my mind refused to believe it. Every time I said I was okay, it was just me trying to convince myself. I thought distancing myself was the right thing to do, but all it did was make me realize how much you actually meant to me.

When you sent me your new year wishes, I couldn’t bring myself to open them right away. And when I finally did, I wasn’t happy the way I should have been. It should have made me smile, but instead, it made me extremely sad. It felt like a quiet last goodbye, and that was when everything became clear to me. I might never get to be with you again.

But thank you.. Thank you for welcoming me back into your life. Thank you for giving me the chance to explain all my feelings and fears to you, and for listening to me when I finally found the courage to be honest. Thank you for calming me down and reassuring me at times when I should have been the one doing all of that for you. Thank you for always respecting my feelings and never invalidating them. I have never met someone like you before, and I am truly grateful for that.

Now, I am no longer afraid. I know what I feel, and I know what I want. You know how happy I am with you now, and if you don’t fully see it yet, I will show you and let you know every single day. Not just with words, but with presence, effort, and choosing you again and again.

I want us to keep walking together. I want us to make each other happy, to become a reason for each other to wake up with hope and excitement. I want to spend seconds, minutes, hours, and days with you, building something real, something warm, something that feels like home. Because honestly, sayang, I cannot imagine what my life would look like without you.
