Rose waved the guy away, who was considerably less considerate now that Rose had been rude to him. Apparently, the whole ‘spilling a drink’ thing was his way of picking up high society chicks. She looked up at the blonde woman, nodding once. “Yeah. Definitely. Not to mention if I let this just dry, I’m going to be all sticky.”

Evie had handled men being asses many of times, but this dude seemed to be trying to take the prize home for being one of the worst. “God men are such pigs!” She frowned, glaring at him as he got out of their way. “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.” She held onto the girls hand, pulling her away from the crowds of people to the girls bathroom, which was thankfully empty. 

Jonny shook his head. “I ain’t talkin’ to you,” he replied, tilting his head back and laughing as the waiter behind him gave Jonny a warm smile—Jonny was a good tipper, and that meant the drinks kept coming. “I don’t know!” He paused, squinting slightly as he leaned forward to look at her properly. “Ya look familiar too!” He paused again, looking out to the dance floor. “Hey, you wanna dance? I’m a great dancer when I’m drunk, and it looks like you ain’t got no one to dance with, anyway.”

If Evie was to say she was a good judge of character she would be flat out lying, so despite her training as a cop, she didn’t really pick up any suspicious vibes about the man. Also she was way too nice for her own good as people kept telling her, so even if she was weary, she wouldn’t say it. “Ya know, that sounds nice.” It wasn’t fully about getting revenge on her date, but she had to admit that it sweetened the pot. “Unfortunately I’m not the best dancer, so ya will have to make up for my two left feet.”

“Evie.” Roy nodded, returning the smile as she walked into his office and put the coffee on his desk. “Oh no, you just bring me coffee all the time.” He teased, gladly sipping from the cup before leaning back in his chair. “What’s up, buttercup?”

“Ohhhh, back-up! That gives me the tingles!” Joker waved his hands at her, as if to prove he had nothing in them. “Forget the Batman! Star City’s Finest are on their way! Not to underestimate them - on the contrary, there is much to learn from the underdog. Like you, angel. I can call you angel, can’t I?”

Even though he didn’t have a weapon, it didn’t mean that she was willing to put the gun down. He was still a dangerous wanted criminal, armed or not. “Surely you’ll be the underdog. I mean, unarmed and about to be outnumbered.” Reaching for her radio, she got ready to call them, knowing once she was surrounded by her colleagues she would feel safe. “No you can’t.”

“Selina?” Evangeline had seen her from a bit away, and although she was on duty, and slightly by the other woman, she still was concerned about her sister. “Have yeh heard from Harls recently? I’ve been kinda worried. We haven’t talked for a while.”

“Probably right about that.” Logan hated this city. It was a shitfest. “This place’ll be better off as a crater. If I were you, I’d get the hell outta here soon as possible.” When he saw the men leering, waiting, he gave them a look and they dispersed. “M’serious, kid. You could get yourself into a lotta trouble real fast if ya ain’t careful.” How many times had he broken up similar situations in bars like these? He didn’t see it as a civil duty; he just hated seeing people getting taken advantage of.

Even though he was quite terrifying, she was glad that the man seemed to want to help her. Despite being quite aggressive about it, he didn’t seem like the other men in the bar. “I wish I could mistah.” She frowned, wishing that she could take her sister and leave as fast as she possibly could. “Got people here I have to stay for. If I didn’t I’d be out of here quicker than ya could say Star City."

“Don’t really look like you belong in a place like this,” Logan mumbled. The girl looked too innocent, even though he knew appearances could be deceiving. The bar wasn’t exactly reputable. It was also in a bad part of town, a part known for criminal activity, but anyone who recognized Logan knew to steer clear of him. 

Evangeline was trying to help her sister out, and had clocked this place as somewhere Harleen had visited, but as she walked in, she realised that it was a bad idea. Looking back at the entrance she was too scared to leave as the men stood there seemed to be leering at her. Walking to the bar she just sat there, until the man came over to her. “Uh-huh, you’re telling me.” she pouted up at him. “I’m not sure if I even belong in this city.” Since her arrival everything was set against her, she was just a poor girl out of her depth.
