“Wait... No, wait, wait, wait!” A desperate hand slapped against the side of the bus quickly pulling away from it’s stop, right out of Buck’s reach and leaving him stranded on the outskirts of LA. Because of course it did. Of course the driver couldn’t wait for just two more seconds for him to run up to the door, and of course, his Jeep couldn’t have just held on for one more day before needing a repair. To top all of that off, it just had to be the day of his best friend’s son’s presentations he’d promised to be at, that he was not only going to be late for, but might not even make it to at all now.

“Nice one, thanks for nothing, asshat!” he yelled after the retreating vehicle with arms thrown up in the air. They stayed there, as though his dramatics might change the driver’s mind but it was only once the vehicle was turning off down the street that he admitted defeat, groaning as he dropped a hand to clutch the back of his neck... which was also about when he realised that someone was staring. Immediately, he was giving a sheepish smile and an exhaled attempt at a laugh, “LA transport, right? Can we just... pretend none of that happened?”
