Announcing SoMa Nutvember 2025
Welcome one and all to a brand new Soul Eater fandom event - SoMa Nutvember! We are not affiliated with the previous SoMa NSFW Week from days of yore, but much like that original event, the purpose of our event is to celebrate the pairing of Soul and Maka through the creation and promotion of erotic fandom works. Whether you’re an artist or a writer or a little bit of both, if you ship SoMa, we welcome you to join in the smutty fun. Here’s a quick and dirty rundown of how it works:
Nope! For our first year, we won’t be supplying any official prompts. Anything smutty or kinky goes - let your imaginations run wild!
When does the event take place?
Posting will begin on Monday, November 17, and will run through till the end of Nutvember November. You can share your submissions on Tumblr, Ao3, Twitter, or wherever else your heart desires, but if you want us to reblog it, be sure to use the tag #SoMaNutvember2025 (or tag us directly in your post!) We will happily reblog your entry. There will also be an official Ao3 collection for the event (stay tuned for more info on that soon!)
Are there any other rules to be aware of?
Obviously, due to the nature of the event, we do require that participants be over the age of 18. In addition to that, we also ask participants to please be respectful of other creators and not engage in any kinkshaming or harassment of any kind.
Does my submission have to be smutty?
While the event does intend to center fanworks with erotic/sexually explicit themes, we acknowledge that everyone’s personal smut preferences vary. We will welcome works from all across the heat spectrum - from tasteful nudity to hardcore kinkplay and everything in between (though we do encourage you to tag your works appropriately).
What if I’m shy but I still kind of want to participate?
Do not dismay! If you would like to participate anonymously, you can submit your written works through an anonymous ask to our blog (unfortunately tumblr does not allow anon asks with images, so this is only an option for written submissions).
Other questions not covered here? Feel free to drop us a line in the ask box. We look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity!
