?    ⭒    𝚢𝚘𝚞  𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍  𝚋𝚎  𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚏𝚞𝚕  𝚏𝚘𝚛  𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜  𝚐𝚒𝚏𝚝,    𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗'𝚝  𝚢𝚘𝚞?    you  aren’t,    but  it’s  not  the  worst  thing  he’s  ever  done  in  pursuit  of  your  attention.    nevertheless,    as  you  stare  up  at  the  syracusan  bronze  you  can’t  help  but  imagine  someone  just  beneath  the  surface,    skin  encased  in  metal,    silently  screaming  for  escape.

you  relate  to  this  imagined  person,    as  you  watch  @crushng  with  stoic  indifference    ﹠    a  cigarette  hanging  out  of  your  mouth.    your  hands  are  pulling  at  lose  threads  in  your  pockets,    itching  to  break  the  cool  facade.    a  strange  temple  to  a  strange  deity,    an  act  of  worship  unwanted    ﹠    admiration  unrequited.

for  a  moment,    you  consider  toppling  a  statue,    but  as  you  imagine  the  bronze  splitting  open  --    filled  with  meat    ﹠    puss    ﹠    rot  you  decide  against  it.   you  instead  listen  to  your  teeth  click  together  as  you  CLENCH  your  jaw,    ﹠    the  scrape  of  your  shoes  in  the  dust  as  you  walk  away    ( it’s  the  only  sound  you  can  make ).    it  looks  a  tomb,    but  you  can’t  verbalize  that.    not  that  you  believe  your  answer  matters,    you  shrug  ambivalently    ﹠    hope  that  lack  of  engagement  will  get  him  off  your  back.  

after  all,    their  are  7  billion  people  in  this  world,    ﹠    all  of  them  are  infinitely  more  interesting  than  you.
