Caught an Off Campus author using AI in their writing today. They forgot to remove the AI prompts in the middle of their story. I left a comment pointing it out and they immediately deleted my comment and fixed their post to remove the AI prompts.
No point in naming names since I forgot to take screenshots as proof, but man, I'm once again reminded of the fact that so much of the writing online these days is probably AI. It's depressing as hell that everytime I read anything these days, I'm always wondering if its AI.
I'm not a writer, just a lurker in the background, so I usually never criticize writers in fan communities online for being bad or cringe or whatever because they're writing for free and for the love of the game, and therefore what right would I have to criticize them? But AI is my exception to that rule. It doesn't take creativity or effort or love to enter a prompt into ChatGPT. Sucks that there's no option to report posts for AI 🤔
