          she had been in a cell before -- ones much darker than this, left alone with only her thoughts (but if she was honest, most of the memory was blurred; she was not sure if appreciation should have came from this fact or not, though). nevertheless, his firm words did nothing to allievate her struggle, limbs struggling against the metal wrapped around them. her attempts were fruitless, it was obvious for anyone to see, and yet her efforts persisted.

          ❛ please... what are they going to do to me? ❜ she found herself asking, with arms still pressed heavy against the metal bars that held her prisoner, as if they’d break under the right amount of pressure. she’d been under experiment before -- but each had varied. still, they had been of equal merit in terms of their terrifying nature.

“Why not? Maybe because I can or maybe because it’s the right thing to do.”

          she couldn’t argue with that. and yet, she could not help but persist.

          ❛ yes, i’m alright. ❜ she took a moment to extend her arms, lacing her fingers together as she stretched. as she’d pointed out, their surroundings were nothing short of peaceful. she’d been so caught up in constant battle, she’d hardly had the chance to catch her own breath -- let alone take in the land around her. it was pretty, though, despite its simplicity. she was just happy they were allowed some form of rest, even if it would likely be short-lived.

          ❛ what about you, cloud? ❜ she allowed her arms to drop, and leaned over slightly, gazing at the taller other. ❛ do you think we should sit and take a break? ❜

          ❛ i can see why, ❜ she mused. shifting her sights from the sky to the sea, terra took a moment to admire the landscape in full.  

The comment made him stop in his tracks. Not really, but that implied she’d just follow him if he didn’t say something. Ugh.

“There’s not really any rule saying we have to…”

          well, he wasn’t wrong. but that didn’t mean she would let him go that easily. she continued to press, looking up at him with doe eyes.
