Today I decided to change my look. I'm going to be clean-shaven for a while… It's a very pleasant feeling to sit on the kitchen counter while the tap water runs close to my stubble… The freedom of an old man… What do you think of that?

I really enjoy taking pictures in front of the mirror in my small apartment… I like seeing myself as I always wanted to be and finally managed to become, a DAK amputee man… No longer having legs that were always useless to me… Just two stumps… Having to live always in a wheelchair gives me indescribably pleasurable sensations… I love admiring my stumps in front of the mirror… The freedom of an old DAK amputee man… What do you think of that?

Since I live alone in my small apartment, I practically take care of all the household chores that my current physical condition allows me to do. One of the things I really enjoy is rolling around the apartment on my transfer board and doing simple things like doing my laundry. I confess that no longer having my legs is so pleasurable and doesn't limit me in my daily routines. The freedom of an old DAK amputee man. What do you think of that?

Physical activity isn't just necessary for maintaining the quality of life of a man over 60. As an amputee, I need strong muscles to compensate for the lack of legs and to be able to perform all activities, no matter how routine. Turning around in my wheelchair and crawling across the floor between the equipment and the people who inevitably look at my stumps and see how I exercise without legs is indescribably pleasant... I confess I'm very proud of my new physical condition... No longer having legs that serve no purpose for me anymore, and living forever seated in a wheelchair with my stumps is a desire I've nurtured since childhood. I would spend a lot of time in front of the mirror admiring my wheelchair, my stumps, and the scars with immense pride and uncontainable joy. The freedom of an old man with DAK amputation... I regularly maintain my wheelchair. Today was the day for my periodic clinical evaluation of my stumps… Besides being necessary, it's the moment I meet with the good surgeon who granted me the fulfillment of my wish by removing my useless legs… His precise hands gave me the freedom I've always wanted since I was young… I always wonder why this didn't happen sooner… I finally achieved my freedom… The freedom of an old man… What do you think of that?

Yesterday was a day for rolling around in my wheelchair along the beach... I love the smell of the sea... The sound of the waves crashing on the sand... While rolling along the beach boardwalk, I tan my stumps... Noticing people's stares... Meeting work colleagues are special moments... After a week of work, Friday is the day I get together with my colleagues for drinks and fun at happy hour... I love going to Outback Steakhouse!!!
