a taste of honey, a swallow of brine

in my journey into toupeeology I’ve accumulated some fascinating info… on October 30 1985 in a New York bookstore, while signing autographs, Andy Warhol’s wig was snatched right off of his head by some girl and thrown asunder… Warhol proceeded to call the girl a bitch and said he was “shocked” and “hurt” and claimed that he had “just gotten another magic crystal which is supposed to protect me and keep things like this from happening….” truly tragic I do not care for Warhol but imagine the terror he felt when his rug was torn from his chrome dome and his scalp was exposed to the wrath of the elements… a warm soft rug that sheltered a lonely scalp, suddenly torn away like a mother from a child….
