sasha barker is a developmentally disabled medical school graduate whose opportunity for residency was denied due to ableism. several rejections and pink slips later, they began work as a shelf stocker at deschamps family pharmacy, unaware the building, and their presence in it, served as a cover for the mob, or that they would later be forced into racketeering themself. years later, despite their desire for a normal life, sasha continues to carry out the white collar dirty work of crime boss walter deschamps's more philanthropic daughter, deschamps family pharmaceuticals CEO marie deschamps. threatened with bankruptcy, marie cuts corners, causing a string of preventable tragedies within the company.

this story will be in the form of prose. i don't want to or intend to publish it as a real physical book. it will likely be posted on a website, possibly toyhouse. it is inspired most of all by the CDC's and WHO's eugenicist messaging from 2020 to 2024, and the enthusiastic embrace of eugenics and ableism that has followed.
