Mist! - Damn!

Scheiße! - Shit!/Bugger! (”Mist!” und “Scheiße!” are usually used as reaction words when something goes wrong.)

Das ist mir scheißegal! - I don’t give a shit!

Ich scheiß’ d'rauf! - I don’t give a damn (basically the same like “Das ist mir scheißegal”, but more slang-ish)

Verdammt! - Damnit!

Was zur Hölle?! - What the hell?! (reaction to something that is very surprising, upsetting or fucked up)

Idiot - Idiot

Depp - Basically means the same like “Idiot”

Vollidiot - Complete idiot

Volltrottel - Basically means the same like “Vollidiot”

Dummkopf - Jackass

Mistkerl - Bastard!

Verpiss dich! - Piss off!

Du Schwein! - You pig!

Du Drecksau! - You dirty pig!

Wichser! - Wanker!

Fick dich! - Fuck you!

Du kannst mich mal! - basically means the same like “Fick dich”. It’s just longer - and a bit less inappropriate.

So I used to have a Russian friend who had a pretty thick accent and like a lot of Russians tended to eschew articles. She would say things like “Get in car.” And stuff.

Well one day this asshole who had been kind of tagging along with us asks her why she talks like that because it makes her sound dumb and I still remember her response word for word.

“Me? Dumb? Maybe in America you have to say get in THE car because you are so stupid that people might just get in random car, but in Russia we don’t need to say that. We just fucking know because we are not stupid.”

One time I was proof reading a paper for a Russian student. As I was correcting her paper with her, the many mistakes in her grammar started weighing on her. I asked her what was wrong, and she said, almost sobbing,

“In Russian I am so intelligent and clear. In English I am like [an] idiot”

Respect to anyone trying to master a foreign language. I get so sad thinking about that student.

When Freddie was 14 years old, a gentleman visited her family home to ask her mother if she would allow her daughters to join the resistance – no one would suspect two young girls of being resistance fighters, he argued.

And he was right. The Oversteegen sisters would flirt with Nazi collaborators under false pretences and then lead them into the woods, where instead of a make-out session, the men would be greeted with a bullet.
