clay is evil. idk if you've ever been abused like orel has, but no amount of self degradation and self harm and self hatred excuses any form of abuse. abuse is evil. did bloberta force him into a marriage? yes. did his mom sexually / emotionally abuse him? yes.
did clay also physically abuse, emotionally abuse, manipulate, religiously abuse orel? yes. did clay coerce bloberta into sex, did clay use bloberta to feel less insecure, did clay manipulate bloberta, did clay emotionally / physically / sexually abuse bloberta? yes.
it doesn't matter how much more of an alcoholic he gets.
it doesn't matter if he self sabotages.
it doesn't matter what sexuality he is.
he shot his fucking son. he lays his hands on his son. he makes his wife feel bad for not fucking him. he says danielle hanging out with his son is emotional rape.
