And not only are you disrespecting the writers, but you’re also disrespecting Linda. What a great fan you are.

Usually I take these thoughts somewhere else, but the site that I regularly go to for these kind of comments isn’t going to allow negative comments on the show anymore. (🙄🙄), so this is the only place that I can post my real thoughts, completely unfiltered.

If you don’t like seeing negative comments about this show, then look away from this post! This is my blog, and I’ll post how I feel about this show the way I want to! And yeah, I have a lot of issues about this Season, and the way the show has been since Season 10, and I don’t want to hide them because I’m afraid of being blocked or losing friends!

As I’ve told you before, if you were a real Linda fan, you would understand that it’s probably her decision to stay away from the show because a) we’re STILL in a pandemic and she’s not young and might be at risk (you also don’t know if she has any health conditions that might make it worse), b) she’s not as young as she was 13 years ago, and might not have the energy to be a regular on the show. The writers have ALWAYS said Linda/ Hetty is the heart of the show. Would it make sense if they just decided they don’t want her there anymore? Of course not! Sometimes common sense can be very helpful before making any assumptions/comments about a situation you have no information on.

Haven’t you noticed there’s a common denominator in all the websites you post your thoughts in? They have ALL complained about how excessive you are. And maybe…just maybe, the problem is you, not them. It’s not like it’s one person against you. There have been several people. Hell, the NCIS: LA fandom has been warned we might not get more content on TVLine because of your comments. Matt Mitovich told you that himself. How is that fair for the rest of the fandom, who are just looking forward to getting something to be excited about?

You are more than entitled to having a (negative) opinion, but please be aware that you’re making this fandom experience terrible to some fans. The show doesn’t revolve around Hetty. Let us just have some moments of peace where we’re not constantly reading negative comments about something and about people/characters we care about.

I hope you understand MY point of view (and certainly, many others’). If you’re looking to vent the way you want to, you can easily create your own blog in Wordpress and share your opinions with people who might agree with you. Just a tip :)

Everytime KIlbride talked. (seriously, why wasn’t he dumped after Season 12??!)

The fact that my favorite platonic relationship had their 1st scene in a year and a half, and it was angst filled and a reminder of Raven and the Swans.

And the stuff that made me want to blow a major gaskert:

The ‘Special Guest Star’ stunt. What the fuck is that, seriously?! You have her in the opening credits, in the press releases under Series Regular, yet she’s listed as a Special Guest Star???!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 There really is no respect anymore, is there? Except cheap promotion to get fools to tune in?

Mentioning Season 9 in a beyond inappropriate manner. Hetty should’ve smacked him for that.

More thoughts:

(Time to once again come to Hetty’s defense like the dummy I am): Think about what Sam was telling Callen early on in the episode, and what Hetty said at the end of the episode when Callen was reading the file very carefully. That may lead to the conclusion that Hetty wanted to plan a future for Callen that was better then the 1 he was going to get eventually (etc. jail or dead on the streets).

And to anyone who wants Callen to dump Hetty: It’s not gonna happen. If he really didn’t care about her, he wouldn’t have sent Zasha to look after her. Also, given how long this looks to be taking and with how short sighted the writing is, wanna bet she’ll either have to be saved by the team, or she’ll come back after being feared dead and Callen will be too overjoyed to think about their little tiff? She’s looked after him most of his life, and he’s used to the secrets, you really think he’ll just dump her over this when he could’ve dumped her over any other big reveal throughout this show?! I don’t think so.

Which leads to my announcement:

I’m done with watching this show live. I’ll be recording future episodes and keeping track of them on here and on Twitter, and if I don’t like what I hear about, then I’ll skip the episode entirely.

Since Season 10, I’ve gotten through terrible episode after terrible episode hoping that 1 day, Hetty would come back full time and be a big part of the team again. After what I’ve seen tonight, after so many other ‘promises’ from the producers over the past couple of years for more Hetty, It looks like that was all just a big promotional lie to get us to tune in. I’ve had it.

Ever wonder how this show got through Season 1 with no Densi? I think it’s obvious of what really got this show through that Season. (Take a guess)

If this show wants to push it’s best actress aside for more Densi angst and more rewriting to try to make Hetty look like someone she’s not, then fine!! Go fucking right ahead! Just rename the show ‘NCIS Densi’ while you’re at it then!

Hetty is the beating heart of this show. When she’s gone, what even is this show? Just a crazy cop show with an angst filled couple that talks about babies and adoption all day?

If this was Season 5 or 8, and what Kensi was going through was completely pushed aside for something dumb, how huge would the reaction be? But I guess if you’re in your 70′s, you’re not so lucky!! 😡

I may not know the whole truth behind these stunts, and I don’t know if I ever will, but if this is the best the producers can do and they can say all this junk about how special Linda is, then these fools have no idea what they’re talking about!!

Final thought about Hetty: Long term grief can make a person do crazy things, I suppose. (or maybe these dumb writers have really forgotten about her since she’s been away for so long.) (Can anyone come up with a better explanation for the past few Seasons then ‘she never got over losing Granger?’, and yes, I’m well aware that’s just 1 of my theories, but it’s something to think about!!)

We don’t know what’s in her contract. She might have been listed as Special Guest Star because her contract changed. Why make (probably wrong) assumptions without knowing all the information? What if she “wanted to take time off from working full time”? (These are the words you used to talk about Mark Harmon’s decision. How is Linda’s case any different?)

As a fan of an actress, it should be your “job” to support her. She’s not as young as she used to be when the show started, and you should understand, accept and respect that.

When Eric was absent from the show, I was obviously sad that Deeks didn’t have as much screentime as I would like. But did I throw a fit? No, I supported his decision to follow another passion of his and accepted the fact that working more than 10 years on the same show is a lot and that we’re lucky that we’ve have these characters for so long. Sure, I know not everyone behaved like this, and it’s really sad, since they consider themselves fans of his.

Been sitting on this hidden gem for a little bit now, but since @ericchristianolsenfans​ and I finally decided she should post about it (since she’s got 100x the amount of followers I do…) - I figure I can mention it here too.

Someone’s been posting episodes of Get Real (99-00) on YouTube! *squeeeeeeee*

If you’ve followed me awhile, you’ll know that this was like my holy grail of things I wanted to see. I managed to see the pilot at the Paley Center last year, but I was still curious about the rest of it. And some unknown person on YouTube has helped to satisfy this itch! They’ve been posting 1 ep a week, the first 6 eps are on there. Yes, the show is pretty awful, but all things considered, the kids all do a pretty good job acting the awful.
