Eren is a barista at a coffeehouse not too far from Connie’s apartment.

Connie didn’t want to go, as he doesn’t like coffee and would rather have some hot chocolate instead, but he figures ‘fuck it’ and orders for himself and his friends (Reiner and Sasha).

When he grabs the drinks, he realizes the barista is a hottie with a nicely tanned body. 

In short:

Sasha is pretty much his wingwoman to earn a date.

Connie is awkward as fuck.

Reiner does nothing to help, and instead teases Connie about his love for green eyes.

Eren is suddenly confused when Connie orders a drink but never actually drinks it.

Eren does not realize how much his smiles actually effects Connie.

Also Connie’s wallet is slowly getting empty as he wastes his money on coffee he’ll never actually drink, but he’s got to have an excuse to visit Eren, right?

"So, uh, why do you always order the same thing?" Eren asks with curiosity written on his face.

Connie stills as he looks up from his untouched drink. “Because it’s my favorite?” He didn’t mean for it to come out as a question, but it seems Eren pays no mind to it. He breathes a sigh of relief.

"But… you never drink it?"

His breath halts and his eyes widen as he looks to the counter and searches for some sort of excuse.

When he opens his mouth he has a lot on his mind, but all that forms is, “Uh…”

Eren only laughs.
