BoiBoi presents: impressive meat flaps and glorious ear bags

When the podiatrist was not in the room this dude was seemingly actively trying to scare me into not having it done/acting like somehow I, as a fully grown adult woman, did not have the wherewithal to know what I was going to have done. He was not subtle. I have literally never had a medical professional do something like this and it was legitimately baffling.

A few choice snippets of his comments, all said in the most snide monotone voice imaginable:

"Hm. We only do like one or two of these a year. Maybe three."

"You know this is extremely painful right?"

"We usually only do these as a last resort."

And my personal favorite, because there's nothing like throwing in a little condescension:

"It's not like kittens lick them off you know."

Imagine his disappointment when I stayed perfectly still and only cringed a bit when I got the local anesthetic shots but was otherwise fine through the entire thing, and then came back for my checkup two weeks later to casually rub his face in the fact that I didn't find any part of the experience all that painful. I likened it to a bruise, because it truly wasn't that bad. I expected and was prepared for way worse.
