You know what makes Shane extra brave? Having to drive for 10-15 minutes towards the thing that he’s been avoiding his whole life. Literally every alarm bell in his body was going off, his strategic captain brain running through every possible scenario. All of the years of secrets that he has built himself around are shattering before him, and all he can do is drive his car toward it. He doesn’t want to. Literally no part of him wants to do this. He says it himself, if it hadn’t been for Ilya he would have just live his life locked in the closet dying a little bit every day, but still in the end even if it’s just for this little bit he drives towards it.
