resident  rich  woman  who  just  wants  to  do  more  than  just  be  rich  .

really  likes  guns  ,  like  really  likes  them .  pow  pow  . pew pew .

do  you  ever  try  so  hard  but  accomplish  so  little  ?? yeah .

why  so  serious  ?? (seriously,  she's  always  '  on  duty  '  )

perched  on top  of  a  building  , eye  stares  down  the  barrel  of  her  soft  pellet  gun  . caitlyn  had  been  tipped  off  :  some  sort  of  .  .  .  buzzing  , flying nuisance  making  way  through  cotes's  quadrant  .  having  climbed  the  scaffolding  of a building like  a  true  vigilante  of justice , caitlyn assessed the situation .

someone  had  beat  her  to  the scene   ,   taking  a much  more  .  .  .  frontline  approach  to  besting  the  monster  –  almost  as  if  taunting  it  :  distracting  it  ??  caitlyn  wasn't  exactly  sure  what  their  motive  was  .  but  it  didn't  matter  ,  because  a  lunatic  is  a  lunatic  ,  and  she  couldn't  do  anything  about  glitter and sparkles  ,  other  than  to  pray  that they  stay  out  of  her  shot  .

but apparently , the lunatic wasn't a mind reader .

" damn it , " caitlyn cursed , her  breath  quickening  in  pace  as  the lunatic shimmied into her scope , causing caitlyn to  abandon  her  shot  .  she  never  misses the  shots  she  takes  .  but only so much can be done when pink keeps toying with her shot .

caitlyn growled under her breath : " stay still . . . " and once more , she looked for an opening with her aim , this time rushing the shot out of fear of losing it again : pow .

one  could  argue  that  caitlyn  has  seen  enough  adventure   ,  or  that  now  is  not  the  time  to  run  into  something  .  her  mother  would  think  her  mad  for  persisting  in  her  eager  ways  ,  giving  into  her  curiosity  which  does  not  grant  her  proclivities  towards  the  sciences  ,  but  instead  brings  her  to  cliffsides  of fibonacci with  its daring   ,  steep  drops  .  with  pinched  lips  ,  caitlyn  peers  over  the  cliff-ledge  and  down  into  the  ground  level  below  . 

it  is  a  little  .  .  .  too  familiar  .  as  if  the  body  remembers  this  drop-off  .

“  allegedly  ,  there  are  cats  on  the  lower  levels  ,  ”  caitlyn  leaned  forward  against  the  steel  pipe  guard  ,  protecting  onlookers  from  the  danger  of  the  cliffside  lookout  ,  “  for  all  that  might  be  different  between  us  ,  it  is  they  who  have  the  most  curious  ingenuity  .  ‘  radiocats  ’  ,  they  call  them  .  ”

and  to  what  end  ?? quite enigmatic  .

pawned  ,  from  a  nearby  shop  ,  caitlyn  rolls  a  cog  between  her  fingers  .  sometimes  ,  if  she  doesn't  think  too  hard  ,  it  is  easy  to  pretend  that  the  streets  are  familiar  .  fibonacci  ,  as  it  stands  ,  was  not  very  different  from  the  brassy  tones  of  piltover  .  children  even  frolic  the  very  same  ,  spinning  cartwheels  on  the  grassy  patches  between  buildings  . 

it  can  be  deceptively  nice  to  fall  victim  to  imagination  ;  it  doesn't  seem  like  she  can  find  peace  elsewhere  . but , perhaps in invention , she could --

“  spinning  .  ”  she  says  to  herself  ,  watching  the  children  tumble  .  feeling  the  cog's  edge  roll  across  the  tough  skin  of  her  hands  ;  the brain  fires  .  “  it  could  spin  .  . . ”

jaw  secretly  slacks  behind  the  tight  ,  thin  laced  lips  that  straighten  into  a  line  of  veiled  displeasure  . 

here  ,  caitlyn  stands  once  more  upon  the  side streets ,  glued  in  place  by  a  bitter  tinged  truth  :  there  may  actually  be  no  escape  in  the  cycle  .  who  knew  if  when  she  awoke  in  the  morning  she  would  wake  here  or  among  the  lilies  that  have  invaded  every  part  of  her  home  .  they were sickeningly  sweet  ,  and  she'd  grown  tired  to  their  scent  .

"  --  all  that  to  say  ,  i  was  at  one  time  acquainted  with  ryuki  and  his  partner  tama    when  i  was  last  here  .  "  they  had  been  united  with  a  common  interest  :  to  navigate  the  notoriously  unbothered  and  unmeasured  crimson  lane  .

  so  she  thought  it  appropriate  to  make  hers  ,  if  only  because  caitlyn  trusted  that  sheen  of  the  girl's  heterochromia  .  experience  had  made  it  recognizable  .

  "  my  name's  caitlyn  .  "  she  held  her  hand  out  straight  ,  "  what  are  yours  ??  "
