Original character design concepts

This is the original concept of Alex being from a young age being experimented on due to his unknown origins, and that many of these experiments led to his having issues with people who are of any medical practice. This idea is based on the Indigenous genocidal schools that happened in places like Canada and the states. This idea is something I am probably gonna keep with this character.

These are some head shots and somewhat different expressions of Alex in different perspectives, in this head shots he's canonically age 19 ish -23. He's pretty young in those terms but acts at times more mature and judgmental.

Alex the “ale kin”

Alex comes from another pocket dimension from the world that Nimari comes from. He was thrown out by his dimension's energies as a smaller energy, so when he was born into this world he was literally born as a small shooting star that fell as tears from the sky.  He was found as a small creature on the mountain area of the valleys of stars which is known to be an area of what is considered a magic well, which is few around the kingdoms. The people who found him were a family of nomadic people who saw the star fall from their camp they set up just a few feet away.

Unlike other people, these nomadic people were the last of the few original people to still be fully connected to the magic well of the valley, so they immediately took the small creature and treated with the softness that they would any child, as even tho alex was a energy older then them, him in his years was still young, and delicate in terms of magic stability. 

Thanks to these people, he was able to to strive and morph into a human in appearance similar to those who rescued him. Do to him being kicked essentially from his dimension he, was teased by many of the kids around him with them saying that he was not even loved by the gods, and that hes ale-kin (Alien) which at the time he did not understand as he thought he was one of them one of the nomads. 

It wasn't until his 8th birthday that his adoptive parents sat him down and told him the legend of the valley of stars and of the gods who bestowed the world with a creature of great power.  But when more humans from neighboring kingdoms that were not native to the valleys moved in. the way of the nomadic turned to people that had live on small pieces of land given to them by the crown, the only thing that happens after a few years people on behalf of the crown came to take any child that they could if they had any magic ability ... and alex was sadly one of those childs that held magic...

Her overall character was to basically have her be a shapeshifter in general, with more of an elf type of style ears. With short hair. Lowkey the whole thing was to have her based on the duendes aluxes, of mayan mythology. But with the whole, shafeshifters this led me to a previous tik tok video of mine where I picked a mythology “monster” to be for halloween. Huay Chivo is a mayan shapeshifter that is mainly found in the Yucatan area of the Mayan empire.

The character sheet shows different facial expressions and perspective of Nimari, i gave more ‘ethnic’ features to show more of the mayan heritage, in addition i gave her scars and a skin condition, which i decided would be due to the use of sealing magic that she had to undergo at a young age when her magic/shifting is unstable which in real world terms it would be just vitiligo 

Her clothes where more of on the spot again with whole idea that she was a fighter/rouge so her clothes leaned into more of a tight top and baggy pants and the rap scarf around her waist it was mainly just a small idea/homage to her past, which i still kinda stuck with but for another 3 drawings but with the whole run on what I want her story to be more based on the mayan Genocide I think clothes wise imma change it to fit more with a mayan warrior stealth look.
