You completely turned my world around. I tell you things that I’ve never actually shared with another soul and you absorb everything I say and actually want to hear more. I share my hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at me. When something wonderful happens, I can’t wait to tell you about it, knowing you will share my excitement. You are not embarrassed to cry with me when I am hurting, or laugh with me when I make a fool out of myself. Never do you hurt my feelings or make me feel like I am not good enough, but rather, you build me up and show me the things about myself that make me special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy, or competition, but only a quiet calmness when you are around. I can be myself and not worry about what you will think of me because you love me for who I am. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song, or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in my heart to cherish forever. Memories of my childhood come back and are so clear and vivid, it’s like being young again. Colors seem brighter and more brilliant. A phone call or a text from you always brings a smile to my face. In your presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but I find I’m quite content in just having you nearby. Things that never interested me before become fascinating because I know they are important to you who are so special to me. I think of you on every occasion and in everything I do. Simple things bring you to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind, or even a storm cloud on the horizon. I open my heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening my heart, I experience a love and joy that I never dreamed possible. I find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow my heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares me. I find strength in knowing you are a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal until the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. My only hope and security is in knowing that you are a part of my life.
