So, why do you want to increase your troubles?” He asked gently before his eyes widened slightly, “ You already have troubles, then why?” He asked sounding slightly confused as his eyes wandered over to her hand on his wrist before meeting her eyes and blushing a little. “ Wh–what? No– its fine. You don’t have to apologize.” He said a slight frown appeared on his face for a few seconds. What the hell was wrong with him? “ That was definitely a compliment. Its rare— isn’t it? To have the power to give someone peace? How can it ever be a bad thing?”

“The story? About wha-- oh.” She began to realize about what he’s been talking about. Of course, it must be about him and Andromeda. She had heard about them since the past few weeks. Having a relationship with a Muggleborn had already brought one of the Black sisters into the brink. Being scorned and left out are the consequences. Although, she wants to know about what happened to him, she needs to hold herself from being nosy. She doesn’t want to offend her new found companion just yet. “I.. I’m never great at making friends and let’s just say that sometimes I hate my house mate.” Emma admitted. She had to bite back a smile as she spotted the reddish hue on his cheek. “That’s.. quite rare. Actually, this is the first time ever someone had told me that. They used to call me the persistent one and I reckon it’s far from giving someone peace.” She chuckled quietly and she glanced at him for once. “I-- thank you.”

Ted’s eyes widened in surprise as he felt his hand wrap around his wrist. He hadnt expected her to stop him or to feel the tingling he felt but he brushed it off. He didn’t need those and more importantly she didn’t need this. “ You do know who I am, don’t you? Trust me you don’t want the shit that comes with associating with me.” He said gently hoping he wasn’t sounding rude, “ Its not worth it, sweetheart.” He said with a small smile, “ I would have stayed away but your voice—- you were—- I hadn’t felt that calm in ages. I really am sorry for disturbing you.”

“I know who you are. You are Ted Tonks. A Hufflepuff. Seventh Year. Muggleborn. Is there anything else that I need to know about you? ” She sounds like explaining things to someone that’s not older enough than two. “I could be more careless about ‘the shit that comes with associating with you’. My housemate seems to dislike me because of my snobbish act and the lack of purity in my blood.” She whispered, since she doesn’t want to offend him. This guy never ceases to surprise her, first was some strange feelings after she touches him. She eyed her hand that was still attached to his wrist and release her grasp. Which makes her wonder how come she had forgotten about it for a while. “I-- I’m sorry-- about that.” She offered him a sheepish smile. “I.. thank you, I guess? Shall I take that as a compliment, then?”

He knew who she was and which house she belonged to so it wasnt probably a wise decision to come out and talk to her but he couldnt help himself. He wouldnt mind the company of someone who wasn’t trying to threaten him and to expect she wont was rather stupid of him but her voice—it had such a calming effect on him. “Wh–what? No, you dont have to leave. I didnt mean to pry. I’ll go. I am sorry.” he said sounding slightly uncertain before he turned to leave. Of course she didnt want to hang out with him of all the people. They werent friends and even if she was a nice person who would want to risk the wrath of the whole damn house that they are a part of, specially for a sranger.

Her eyes widened at his words. Had she said anything wrong? She doesn’t mean to cause any harm from anything she said. She was merely being polite since he looks like someone who need the time on his own. She doesn’t want to be a bother. She bit her lips, weighed on her decision as she stands up and pulled his wrist in a rather gentle way. She couldn’t help but flinch as she felt a strange feeling after her skin touches his, but she ignores it anyway. “Please, you can stay.” Something told her that she won’t regret her decision. Not for today.
