Butterfly Hallucination - by Emma Jones This photograph by photography graduate student Emma Jones sat in a series on photographs exploring hallucinations: objects appearing to an individual in an unexpected setting. The hazy focus of the photograph and dull colours creates a relaxed, dreamy setting. This supports the idea of the viewer creating an image in their head that may not be there. Whilst the image is still, the butterflies are positioned as though in motion. This reinforces the gentle, surreal idea the image portrays.

Isabella Blow - Fashion Galore! exhibition This abstract portrait of Isabella Blow was placed outside the exhibition at Somerset House, London. The distortion in the image reflects Blow's unique and eccentric style, and more personal disruptions in her life such as her battle with depression. Her work, celebrity status and relationships put Isabella in the spotlight. This is mirrored in the bright metallic lights and colours incorporated in this image.

This photo stood at the beginning of the exhibition, greating viewers with the idea that they were personally entering the mind of Paul Smith. This summarised the exhibition which presented art, photography and fashion as the designer himself views them. The surreal image combined with the hazy blue colour creates a dreamlike state in this section of the exhibition, perhaps to relax the viewers and ready them for the hypnagogic situation of being inside the designer's head. This is reinforced by the multiple outlines of Sir Smith, giving the illusion that the viewer is looking directly into his mind.

Garance Dore is a fashion photographer, illustrator and writer. Her illustration work presents fashion in a rough, sketch-like style.

Sabine Pieper is a fashion illustrator from Berlin who incorporates photography and mixed media in her design illustrations.

Michael Hoeweler illustrates a range of areas; one of which is fashion. His style is almost 'cartoon-like' as a result of his rough, simple style of drawing and use of graphics in these designs.

Hayden Williams is a British fashion illustrator and designer whose illustration work focuses on fashion figure drawing and face portraits of individuals. The majority of his work consists of illustrations of celebrities and models.

The artist Yasmin Ward is a freelance illustrator from Melbourne, Australia. Her work consists of hand drawn and computer aided detailed illustrations of individuals - specifally women.
