In December of last year, ADOR notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract and later filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 43 billion Korean won in damages.

ADOR argues that both Danielle’s team and former CEO Min Hee-jin bear significant responsibility for the departure of the NewJeans members and for the delay in their return to the agency.

On November 28 of last year, Danielle and the other NewJeans members held a press conference announcing the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit on December 5 seeking confirmation of the validity of those contracts, and the court ultimately ruled in ADOR’s favor.

Before the deadline to appeal that decision expired, ADOR announced that Haerin and Hyein had expressed their intention to return to the agency. It also stated that Minji, Hanni, and Danielle communicated their intention to return to ADOR through their representatives rather than directly.

However, on December 29 of last year, ADOR announced in an official statement that it had notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract.
