American Idiot the musical is coming to the FAC soon!

Green Day fan? This new musical tells the story of three lifelong friends having to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia, and features the smash hits “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Holiday,” and “21 Guns.” Buy your ticket before the show sells out!

Parsons Dance was a pleasant surprise. I'm usually not a big fan of dance shows, especially two hour ones...but this troupe was incredible! It's hard to describe how elegant and synchronized their motions were. It was  so beautiful to watch! The music and motion kept your attention at all times. I'd go see Parsons Dance again....it was that good!--The audience seemed to agree with their standing-O at the end!

Safe to say it's going to be a pretty sexy show!

They were founded in 1985 and has performed in more than 350 cities, 30 countries and 5 continents for the most prestigious theaters, festivals and presenters worldwide, including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Maison de la Danse, Teatro La Fenice and Teatro Muncipal. They are a group of contemporary dance artists that seamlessly blend sexy athleticism and joyous movement to enthrall and charm their audience.  I'm truly looking forward to this one! I'm not usually big on opera music but last night's performance at the FAC made it more than tolerable...it was actually rather enjoyable!

The chamber orchestra Les Violons Du Roy borrows its name from the renowned string orchestra of the court of the French kings. That being said, it is no wonder that they sound magnificent! They played musical pieces from Bach, Handel, Hadyn with grace and also accompanied Stephanie Blythe in her solos. The entire lower seating area in the FAC Concert Hall was filled and gave standing ovations before intermission and two at the end. I don't think this performance could have been better received by an audience.

This concert in New York is over $100 for a ticket, so it's pretty much a steal to go see it at UMass. Even though I haven't heard of them before, many reviews say it is a warm energy performance and overall good time. Can't go wrong there, right? I am anticipating a classical opera performance.
